Go with direcway, but if at all possible, DONT get a DW6000 (unless you have a mac ) It is better to get a used 4000 than a new 6000.

is your computer directy connected to your modem? or does it go through the firewall?

for some reason, there is a fairly long pause between your computer and your isp do you have a firewall/router?
