Probably a fan kicking into high gear when the inside or chip starts getting warm.

That could do it if it is on a corner of the mobo and there is no standoff under it. If the mobo is flexing and the corner is touching the case that would do it. Have a check and see to make sure non of the mobo is touching the case.

Can you take a few pics to show us what it looks like. You mean the arrows on the LED wires?

Make sura all standoffs are in also you might want to check under the mobo to make sure there isn't a loose screw or something under it this will also cause your problem

Have you tried a different brand of DVD? Some DVD players don't like certain brands of DVD and think it is a CD. Ritek is 1 of the best brands out ther maybe give them a try.

Can you post complete system specs, including if you have onboard LAN or a NIC.

Scan for viruses there are a few that will block Task manager.

Cholla, i have never seen the like of that. I recognize about 80% of those names and they are all spyware. But that being a mozilla file and we know how good it is for blocking spyware that may be its own integrated immunization file.

Strange, make sure in spybot and ad-awrae you update and than immunize, than scan again. Could also be a trojan thats lettin them in. Than do a scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Little tip to people also if you didn't do this, keep your favourite firewall,AV and spyware scanners on disk. Disconnect from internet before installing windows and install all your proggies before connecting or you will get nailed

One thing i forgot one of the favourite hiding spots of the real nast stuff that causes popups is your hosts file. Location and what it should look like are below. If there is spyware in it you will see it

Windows XP = /windows/system32/drivers/etc

Windows 2K = /winnt/system32/drivers/etc

Win 98ME = /windows 

Open up the hosts file with Notepad. Below is what it should look like:

Look in task manager for a process that shouldn't be there or is named similar to that and kill it than delete it. You will probably also have to clean whatever entries it made in the registry.

Never seen a error like that before. Run Crap Cleaner and RegCleaner. After that if it is still happening try a system restore to before this started happening, and if it is still happening try a windows repair. If it is still going on i would just format and re-install windows.

Uninstall the game through control panel and reinstall, if no virus than sounds like some messed up files in game. Also defrag your drive a really fragged up drive can cause some problems.

I am going to be moving to Marystown Newfoundland in the next month. I am trying to find what they have for providers there so i can have it hooked up when i arrive and of course i want the best cable provider there

So if any of you live in newfoundland in that area and know the names of the providers in that area please post them
