  9. Tommy, I did not know that you could do that in 6. But I just tried it with my version 7 and it worked for me? You are talking about the "e" just to the left of the url, right?
  10. Thanks. None of those. Just willing to try anything to help speeds. Earlier I was down to 15kbps. What a joke
  11. Can anyone tell me whether I would benefit by getting a static ip or should I leave it like it is?
  12. The reason I ask is that I haven't gotten this new computer yet. Fedex is bringing it today. I will be mainly playing games like Madden, Tiger Woods, and some fighting games like Call of Duty. But with my older computer anytime something would use the processor in the background, the graphics would get choppy (which I already had them set on low quality). I had only 512mb RDRAM with a p4 1.7 ghz with ATI 256mb video card. Should I be better off now with my new setup?
  13. 7000 since December. Direcway since like 2001?
  14. Thanks a bunch. This forum is great. People are so prompt and courteous.

I apologize for the inconvenience this issue may have caused. As I understand from your email, you are facing problem of slow browsing. I see that you are on a professional edition of DW7000. I would like you to pull up the Internet explorer and put in a web address as 192.168.0.1 and click on system status. Please look for signal strength, according to area i.e zip code 24520 the minimum should be 52. If the signal strength is below this please call at our voice support as it seems to be a signal issue. If the signal strength is higher,Then the speed which can be expect from direcway is any number more than 500 kbps for download & more than 30 kbps for upload. Kindly follow the steps below, so that you are able to browse at a good speed: A. Clear Cache ( IE 4.x & >) 1. Launch Internet Explorer. 2. Select Tools from the menu bar. Under exceptions enter systemcontrolcenter.com;192.168.0.1. 9. All other fields should be empty. 10. Make sure that Use same proxy server for all protocols is unchecked and that all other entries are blank. 11. Click OK. 12. Mark the check box next to Bypass proxy server for local addresses. 13. The speeds that i am getting are decent but they are on the decline. I assure you that by 8p.m. tonight, as the case everynight, they will be under 200kbps and at some point probably under a 100kbps. Your service is great but your inability to handle users during peak hours is getting on a lot of your customers nerves. I have heard talk of people inquiring about wildblue because of this. I would like to know what you are doing to remedy this situation. I hope that this email doesn't get pushed aside by the same level 1 tech support person that i always get when i call that just wants me to restart my modem.
