  1. me too when i changed from optimum online to speakeasy and covad. i use covad SDSL for hosting and speakeasy for downloading. i got SDSL over T-1 cause it was about the same and less than half the price and got another line. as far as i am concerned SDSL is good enough for me untill i can get my 100/100 !!
  2. well i was messing around with cable nut and i have a 768/6000 connection and saw how un-accurate the upload is on a few verizons sites i tested on compared to here. on here i always get around the same 650 up and 5000 down but on that site i got about the same before i changed cablenut settings and now that i changed it i get better speed on test my net but that other site is way off. i dont know if i am the only one with this or if anyone else has seen this happen. here is what i get to verizons site which is way off and its the same with 2 connections(ADSL 768/6000 + SDSL 1500/1500) and 3 comps. ADSL 768/6000 running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 10.87Mb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 4.93Mb/s Your PC is connected to a Cable/DSL modem SDSL 1500/1500 running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 11.52Mb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 1.29Mb/s Your PC is connected to a Cable/DSL modem
  3. what monitors you people have cause mine at max goes to 1920 X1440 but my video card goes to 2048x1536
  4. you click the download then when the pop-up comes up that says save or open it, it started downloading already so in a minute or so click download and it will say very high speed then go to normal. my point was to show you it can look very fast as someone said above.
  5. ok i'll make it look fast but at the end this time.
  6. your gonna get caught trying to uncap and even if you did they'll get you on there end. dsl is also because un-cappable cause its speed is limited by distance and most people dont live very close to the central office to get those crazy speeds anyway.
  7. nah he's right you can make it look fast but its really not. here look at this. lmfao
  8. you have to be under 1000 feet from the central office and can get 3 mb up and 25 mb down. just wondered cause i would get it if i lived closer.
  9. do you have a crossover cable in there somewhere? is your switch or router set to half duplex? mine says half duplex and everything is set to full also but i think my modem is half duplex.
  10. is there a way to find the exact distance without them telling me or testing it. dsl reports is wrong btw i checked and its still says the old 5600 feet and hasnt been updated in a while
  11. $h*t they added alot man it was around 5600 feet and shot upto about 12,000 feet. how did they add so much wire and why do they do that if you know.
  12. yea i wanna cry show me the prices of this thing i cant get and i'll go in the corner
  13. ahh i got ya man i'd tell ya but i dont know it all and your not allowed to un-cap it thats 1 reason i never tried.
  14. ^^also why they put me in safe mode was cause verizon put a coil on my line makin the distance longer and it didnt like it much but they tried it off again and it it fine now. THX
  15. i'm not sure exactly how but it can be done a number of ways. i'd be happy with what you got man no need for more. i pay alot more than you for 2 lines that doesnt do what your does so be happy!!!
  16. is Interleave like safe mode on a modem? just want to know cause my ISP had to put me in safe mode 1 time cause my speed went nuts and that made my speed stable and pings go up a little.
  17. its just going by everyones average speed tests
  18. well your line is capped at the advertised speed your supposed to get
  19. dont try to uncap it you'll just get in trouble
  20. 3 comps that i was using below and total there is 7 computers and 1 server and 8 xboxes that we system link 2 are 2.8 pentium 4 HT 800 fsb 2 gigs of ram and the other is 2.6 pentium 4 with 1 gig of ram running cat 6 and was wondering what speeds i could get with it. 1 reason i ask is because i have 2 long wire runs and want more speed to there for streaming high resolution video like movies and sending huge files fast as possilbe. 1 wire run is about 160 feet and the other is about 330 feet and the rest are 60 feet and under
