  1. I enjoy the speeds, yes. Today has a little more traffic on my ISP's network than during the week, but it's still good speeds.... I just realized I've been on the phone the whole time, which is probably affecting it a bit (being VOIP and what not).. I can't wait until I get the internal network around here cleaned up and set up properly, I should probably see a twinge bit of an increase in throughput to individual machines. PS: your speeds are pretty good for residential too, what's your advertised package? (Maybe you should modify the original post to have people include their adv. speeds too?)
  2. I don't have a maximum download speed from my ISP, it's unregulated.. so whatever I can pull with my equipment and their network traffic.
  3. exsqueeze me? I don't understand your question. are you asking about my advertised speeds from my ISP?
  4. Sure.. It didn't come out quite as well, but I'm downloading some updates on one of my servers.... Still not bad.
  5. Well.. Their server didn't like my ability, I don't think.. I started right around my noraml 1600kB/sec but it eventually knocked me down to this: (Firefox doesn't give you an average at the end so I took multiple screenies during to prove average speed..) 6. Not bad, although both ways could use a boost according to what you could get... have you tweaked it out yet?
  7. mine is because I drove a 1998 ford Escort LX for many years.. (ugly, ugly years)
  8. Now it's much lower, but the scores pages jumped way up on the list, which is cool. It says in 122 days I will be at the top... excellent.
  9. I laughed hard at the white and nerdy video... .then realized that was my high school experiance
  10. I've got the opteron on a heathly OC, but it spends a lot of proc time doing actual work.. If I had a dualcore though, one could work and one could fold.. I can't wait until either later today or tomorrow night to see the newly added a64's start kicking in results.. Chris
  11. Should have about 10 more A64 3500's online today... I'm going to get a dualcore for some testing though, I really like the output you're getting from yours RTB.. just three cores and all that production! </Jelous> Chris
  12. I think I should be at the top of the 24 hour average production now.. it's time to see how high i can get it and climb the overall board.
  13. Yea I was looking at the processors of the overall points leaders, not the highest in 24 hrs, my apologies for accusing you of having more than you do.
  14. Well, that is slow.. 15. ourthinktank... I'm still bringing things up to speed.. but soon I should be the highest pts per 24 hr period... You guys are both doing reallly well for the number of CPU's you have going though... I'm in 2nd with 8, RTB is winning with 6... I guess it's time to add a few more! I hope i didn't sound like tooo much of an ass in my first post, PS. Chris
  16. 2gb of ram on both desktops (2x1gb running dual channel), 1Gb on the laptop (2x512) and 4 gb on the server.. it's all ddr400 except the server, that's ddr2 533
  17. so how pissed would you be if I passed you both... ?? This week is going to be a lot of fun...
  18. Eh, I'll keep my 15-20mpbs cable, but it's good speeds for residential. Chris
  19. it's probably just the usage on campus.. Here at the University of Sioux Falls the download test is usually 3-4 mbps slower than the upload.. It's a hazzard of a symetrical connection when download is used x2 as much. For instance we have ~8mbps both ways but right now (I'm looking at the packeteer front display) we're using 4 down and .8 up... Chris

  21. $95/month but it includes 80 channels of TV too..

  24. Well after climbing up a tower and adjusting my antenne, and configuring my bridge right.. (at least they finally gave up and let me do it.. lol) I've finally got good connection (89% RSSI/98%Signal strength / 1% packet loss over 100 packets) and good speeds too!! :::.. 25. yeah, like i said, we're getting a more powerful directional antenne in a week here, so I'm sure the dropping will fix up- the rest of the equipment is top of the line, good stuff so i'm not worried there, just wondering if there are any other WISP users who have ping times to compare.. I've noticed a heavy back-bone reliance.. for instance my website averages 394ms over 100 but testmy averages 120, both are bad enough to not be able to play my favorite games
