  3. It worked before, w/ the same bios version, I would not do this , it may just compliment more problems, It's just a matter of the correct driver.
  4. Better idea then installin everest or PCwizard08. Yes, I was demoted, but I didn't wanna lead on to that
  5. There are programs that will tell you the system hardware, gimmie a minute , .............
  6. If you have a system cd that has the drivers installed on it, I would say go ahead and re-install the drivers. If not, you should be able to click on it, to install the driver, when it asks to search , say no, then say have disk, then point to the driver that you have, on whatever media it is.

  16. For what I have seen, the smartbro users are constantly trying to get faster speeds. ( just as the rest of us are lol ) There are many variable involved. One would be how far away you are from the station, and how many users are using it. Due to my limited knowledge of the smartbro network, I would not be much more help to you. Allow me to suggest using the " Site Search " google it bar in the header, if you search this for smartbro, you will be presented with the many different threads here on testmy.net that the smartbro users have going. Post your issues there, and I am certain when a smartbro user sees your post, they will work w/ you to get the best connection you can in your specific area. Again, you don't have to call me sir, But thank you. Just be patient, and try your best to absorb what the rest of the smartbro users have said, and will say to you. While your waiting for your answers, just search around the site, I bet you'll get more information then you can imagine .
  17. Try the 20 steps to make smartbro faster by coolbuster, many have done this w/ good feedback. http://www.testmy.net/t-20438.1035
  18. I don't just spybot, thats it !
  19. Can anyone explain the expanded (MS) regisrty change? This is a clients bax, there were tons of this type of thing, including a bad cpu , and the heatsink for the chipset fell off.
  20. Yes , you have to be careful what frequency your on. I never personally got into it much, so my knowledge is limited. So I can't say much on the things. I did have a " mobile " hooked up in the truck at one point, I traded it for a moonraker antenna, I can't believe the guy did the trade, but he did.
  21. Thanks Buntz Now that the service pack is posted on MS's site i'll go ahead w/ it.
  22. Oh yes, you use those channels w/ no license and you won't like it at all! The radios they use today, are highly sophisticate, bad ass digital VFO's that can go in-between the in-between channels, not like we did it , old tube stuff. You can listen to the air planes talk, and alot more, your not supposed to, and many of the radios have them blocked out, but depending on hoe good you are, or who you know, that can be fixed.
  23. Yes, the signal inherently goes " in a straight line, the curvature of the earth causes it to fade as the distance grows, so during times of heavy moisture, and or storms around the world, depends on when , and where you can get signal.
  24. Dad listened and I believe talked to germany and all that, when he could " skip " , on a cloudy night .
  25. solar cells at night, I love it Mine has the world band as well. cool to listen to the stuff i can't understand. reminds me of at night when i was a kid at home, my dad did the whole ham radio thing, and all that, I could hear him in his den talkin to people all over, and listen to the atomic clock , that was cool !
