As far a VoIP goes, you really won't get much quality out of a limited bandwidth scenario. About the best you can do is when you are using your phone, if you have a software firewall installed on your PC, set it to stop all internet traffic. You can also , if you are using a VoIP router, adjust settings to use the most , or highest bandwidth. Depending on your network setup, it may be possible to setup QOS on the router. Post your network layout , and devices in the VoIP thread, and we'll take it from there.

Well at least your folding, that really is the idea. Points are a great competitive draw, in the whole of it all totally meaningless. None the less, keep folding. Too bad were still a better team.

Sounds like your hooked, I know Linux has that effect on me, the simplicity of it is astounding once you get to know the commands to really shake it up. I'm running a live centOS live and it seems to be faster than ubuntu installed, big time ! Thanks D

I can't get Ubuntu Hardy to run consistently, so it has to go. Mandriva 08 is the most stable distro I have seen yet, next to opensuse 10.

The only reason I even have the thing, is I got Ultimate for $ 100.00 . I bought it because I have had to decline repairs due to being unfamiliar w/ it. I suppose I should just leave it alone, as most of the people that will need assistance don't get as invasive to the %root% .

Vista already sucks the life out of a system, windows blinds would do that much more. Besides, I wouldn't pay for something to change the way my OS looks.

I'm trying to install a theme from " ZUES " from here , I have downloaded the " uxtheme patch, and screwed up my installation half way through. Because I did as the instructions stated and changed the current uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.old , then I had to make a run out of here, and lost my place. So windows wont get past the boot screen , it says it's on a fubar holiday. I tried fixing it through OSX, but I can't edit any of the win sys files through OSX. Obviously I'm going to have to re install the whole shebang, OSX/bootcamp/Vista , because I tried to repair windows w/ the disk, and it won't let me, and I always shut restore off AAR, what is the correct way to do this, is there a failsafe way to add themes to Vista w/o so much BS?

Welcome to testmy.net boats Hang out for a bit , and do some reading, there will I'm sure be someone that is familiar with your type of connection online soon. In the mean time, maybe look for vanburens cablenut settings, find the one that applies to your connection, and off you go. http://www.testmy.net/topic-1013

It doesnt work , In fact it work the exact opposite. Look at it this way, so you don't buy gas on friday, ok, that means your tank is got less than it would have if you would have filled friday, so they expect a big demand the next day,

Enjoy your trip, and I do hope somehow there will be a bandwidth upgrade comming for you soon.

Yes they are both, I have a 3200+ Athalon that has been sitting here running @ 2400 and taken just about every OS that I have thrown at it, folding full time, overclocked to the point I have strained the entire system for almost 5 years, I've pulled it twice for a re- grease, and yet it keeps on chuggin. I do have to up the voltage occasionally slightly, so eventually she'll pop, but given what it has gone through, I can hardly believe it works at all. I have a 3000+ Athalon the same way I bought the week after this one, where I " penciled " in the multiplier to unlock it. That one will run flawlessly at or above 2600 Mhz.
