  1. Just go down to your local ISP ( where you would pay if you forgot to plop it in the mail, or pick up a new device ) and get them talking to you with a smile on your face. Be thee often until you get to lightly know a couple of them , never know who may come walking out of the back and overhear you explaining to them what you have been through. Never know where a little personal investigative initiative may get you. Sicking BBB or other on them will likely get you no where.
  2. Well now I'm sure we could work something out, say if I get the job I could let you hold the console cable for a minute, or even adjust the cable routing equipment to make sure everything is running in a straight line geezus I gotta hit that sack I'm delirious
  3. You'll need a floor dick to keep things going , I'll sit in that cold ass chair for you playing return to wolfenstien all day
  4. You guy's can do this yourselves you know. Just start an ISP hello ? lmao
  5. By all means . I'm still working on figuring why the Dallas server gives me a 2.9 Mbps result. Although it is refreshing to see that the system here can max out at DC , it's been perplexing me for nearly two years, two different ISP's in two different locations regionally. Not to mention the dozens of clients I've tested with. I don't believe it has anything to do with tmn , more like a major backbone DPI / QOS config issue.
  6. There could be a soft limit of 50 and a hard limit in network congestion, but 20 Mb over is a stretch .
  7. How is it that test results can be that much over the modem boot file ? Might have to use a larger test file. The DC server is most definitively acting different from Dallas.
  8. Tdawn you listen with more then your ears. You might hear glimpses from the realness of this place we call earth.
  9. Two innovators in a row , great ,at least my comment does not have to be all that good to rise up Teasing relax Screw the app, why not think on the terms you already are. Look , in a case where your looking to test throughput , you want to get a more "real" idea of what your network looks like right, so opening an app really is self defeating by using possible resources to obtain a more accurate result. Think on the lines of creating something along the lines of a test icon , linking to the proper page / test for the specific device. Embed the user agent in the specific result from the requested client. Might be a lick speedier then having it done server side. Then again that creates an issue of it's own , too many devices. Many long coding nights.
  10. Well said , and I realized this when I took a silent minute of thought of him as soon as I heard the news.

    DC test

Geezus , I was into binding two dial up lines Played with tftp ing into the cable modem but fizzled out quick. So many people were starting to get busted fast , and hell , after dial up everything was fast lol

    DC test

I grabbed a couple tests from a dedicated virtual server in S cali , so I feel you
  14. From what I gather Australia is a rather secluded country anyhow , talking to a few over there they many times cannot see content that we in the US can, they have strict imports, and hardly no food imported. So it surprises me not that the country doesn't see the need to expand there data infrastructure.
  15. Much closer to what the connection size is, uhhm , yea D.C. And to Dallas
  16. Tight as an eagles ass in a power dive !!!!!!!!!!
  17. I've been waiting for this for a long time dude ! Not only that , I believe you just made a vital move towards the expansion and social trust of testmy.net ,imo , you could not have made a better move , and D.C. to boot !
  18. 4x10 Gbps , nothing to scoff at. Order it up and have them run dedicated fiber to the north side of my house YEA , I know it's gigabit , amazing
  19. Have you looked into Washington D.C. ? Or even Cleveland
  20. Iv'e been working on the same issue for a while now myself. Much of my traffic is routed through D.C. before heading to it's intended destination. Not as rule. None the less , I'm on a 50/3 connection and have issues much like yourself. It's been this way for roughly 18 months give or take. Don't quote me on this , because it's merely speculation, I believe the countries networks have been divided in some way on a large scale , possibly for security reasons. And there simply not finished re routing traffic properly due to this filtering. Or cannot find a sane way to detect the type of traffic there looking for. Again just speculation. At least what I gather is four major sectors , quite possibly five but you have to take notice at Limelight networks as well in california ( hosting Groupon , Netflix , I believe MLB network just to name a few biggies) , divided at the Mississippi , somewhere along the mason dixon line longitudinally , leaving california and upper USA , somewhat resembling the map below. Again I'm reaching here , but something is def up !
  21. Buckey cable 50 / 3 hahahah With the new D.C. server
  22. Depends on what the test is on and who is taking it
  23. I have no clue how they can be that screamin freaked out , first one that got my skin crawling was Doom3 , another great haunted house
  24. Thought someone might catch that
  25. Nothing beats a great haunted house game. I played Amnesia for a while and somehow forgot about it. Hell if you play it at night in the dark , you do get a bit ruffled up at times , but geezus LMAO that dude kraked me up .
