Stank_Ho ....ly blast from a while now since you visited , Merry Christmas

West Chester Ohio , practically neighbors with several members of the testmy.net community. Run a few speed tests and post in your signature if you like, I'de like to see how well your connection is.
-
Right at the same time it could be useful in holding larger equations while the cpu works out the rest. Dunno , just a thought And thats about the going rate right now for those machines. You did good ! Any drives w/ them ? Or at the least a few each ? The sleds ?

Those are good units. I would say they compare with the HP DL380's here. Although 32 bit you can do a lot with them. Hell I have one running virtualmin w/ 4 servers and a couple sites per server no problems. You would think sooner then later they'll be getting a ram client going. I havent kept up w/ the latest in more then a year or so. Maybe there working on it ?

Download the core for your hardware at http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Download You will be shown the best candidates for your hardware on the download page. There are also beta and high performance client http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther I'm sure we'll all help with anything we can , glad you decided to jump into folding. Society thanks you for doing a little to assist in finding answers to medical cures of all kinds

Hey lorne, I also have one of those old dell 1650 power edge 1U's w/ dual 1.6 or 1.8 Id'e have to look. What core do you run and how is it performing. I can install most any OS other then 7 to make sure I get the best core for the hardware. And you think that little thing is noisy , you should hear this HP , honestly my house is an 1800 sqft ranch , and at the other end of the house you can make out the sound of the 12 or 16 fan beast hahaha

Hello sta , please explain the meaning of padetumeti for us. You can use google translate
-
run -configonly and set the WU size to " [big] " Vs small or normal
-
You know prosper is not much to do with finance . I might be mistaken in your meaning ?
-
Bah , no worries , I just have this " thing " with the whole " Xing out " of Christmas. @zeddlar , ca3le had a great comment about the differences between the smart test and others , although I cannot find it right now.
-
Glad you have your speeds where you want them , or at the least close to or at what you should be getting. just curious , what is " xmas " ?
-
If you can show me another core that will run on two dual core Xeon 32 bit procs running centos that will outperform what I have been testing , I'm open for suggestions on a hilarious note , I installed folding on a VPS with unlimited resources per se' , the server load went up to 10.0 and 2700% of the allotted gflops within 10 seconds, lmao Had to kill it.

Trying a few things with this server, I'll let these five threads run out and see if there valuable, if not I'll direct them through the CPU by thread/CPU There is a dual core running just two threads same OS different server obviously, tomorrow I'll see how many threads the CPU can take .

Hehe nice one coknuck

Keyboard arrow keys ? Well I cannot help you there I'm using a Matias Tactile pro FK302 and Iv'e customized most of the key maps, but what should be the arrow keys allows the cursor to move within the text input field yes. Sounds like you just explained the shortcut thats bound to another core installation , or am I off ? On another note , finishing within 88% of time left on the HPDL380 left me with 89 points. All four cores running 100%. Not hardly worth it. So again , even if I run 12 threads on the machine it's still not really worth it to standard unless your running a high performance GPU or a very late model quad core CPU.

Started up the HPDL380 G4 today, running server 2003 DC on two dual core Xeon's @ 3.8 Ghz See how this first run goes, see if i can make a few adjustments to kick it up if needed or i can. The ATI 9800 Pro and the 9800 I have are not supported , that sucks ass !
-
You guy's are kicking ass !
-
If you have not figured it out yet , the right click contextual menu on the G3 should be { two fingers on trackpad + click } maybe just one finger ,I know it's two on the macbook pro. Here , check this program out, or this second version you should be able to set a few things to your liking on the trackpad.

I only wrote that little bit for those that might want to show there stats in there sig. Not a big thing. All that needs done is to paste it into your sig, and change the username , done. I'll do a guide w/ screenshots in a bit , gotta take care of something.
-
The code shown is currently running in my sig. Can you explain more so I can fix anything that might need it ?
-
Anyone wishing to place there folding stats in there sig, this is the basic code , you can do a little with it, or recode your own to call the database itself Vs eo. http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php/un=YOUR USERNAME HERE/t=44352/sigimage.gif As "un" is username and " t " is testmy.net team number "44352" Once you place your username in , this goes in as an image through the editor. It will call each load for stats, so it's always up to date. Alternatively , if you would like use a url wrapper to link back to the testmy.net F@H thread ( this thread lol ) , use the code below , just replace my details with yours and your golden. <a class="bbc_url" href="https://testmy.net/ipb/topic/11831-testmynet-foldinghome-team" title="Testmy.net F@H Team # 44352"><img src="http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php/un=mudmanc4/t=44352/sigimage.gif"></a>

I'm waiting to hear how your finding everything. As well as if your using it regular yet. And honestly , imo if you put 150 US into the iBook , and no physical issues , you got one great deal. Those things are work horses. The ONLY (other then that cranky nvidia gpu issue) issue I ever had with PPC is the same thing w/ newer apple machines , if your running a bunch of programs at once , and being very productive , and don't restart for a couple weeks, some of the memory for some reason doesn't get re allocated back to usable. And you'll see a slow down. A restart fixes it in a jiffy. There are better terms to explain it , but thats good enough lol

Looks like everything is catching up http://folding.typepad.com/news/2011/12/stats-recredit-in-progress.html

Yes , very cool Thank you again ca3le for giving so much of yourself to better the world of internet users

If i makes you feel any better , the PS3 says 8 WU completed, and f@h shows 1 lmao, not showing the two Iv'e finished on the mac. I at least hope they were able to use the data in some way. Points are just to make us feel better in knowing we have contributed to the cause. Second.
