cholla Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 ch34p5hot : Go to safe mode & run AVG if that doesn't work post again.
coknuck Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 It sounds like you need to manually remove it. After it stops running go to Test Results and high light the virus. Then there is a option to send it to the Virus Vault then you can completely remove it from there. Like cholla said do it in safe mode

cholla Posted January 15, 2006 CID Share Posted January 15, 2006 I had a couple of viruses over a year ago that AVG would only get rid of in safe mode..I think AVG has a heal mode as well as delete you might try healing it then deleteing it.If this doesn't work DL a program called Stinger & run it in safe mode.Basically it kills certain viruses.I have another AVG program I will see if I can find the link to it if you still have the virus after trying the above. http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ Stinger link http://www.grisoft.com/doc/112/lng/us/tpl/tpl01 vcleaner from AVG link

Swimmer Posted January 16, 2006 CID Share Posted January 16, 2006 Yeah AVG sucks with trojans.. Most of the time Symantec has good info on how to remove the trojans.. AVG is good but trojans is not is cup of tea..

AVG is good but trojans is not is cup of tea.. Ive had problems with removing trojans also with AVG, but it does find them and tell you were they are on your system, so it does most of the work for you, now only if it would delete them.
