RTB Posted December 16, 2004 CID Share Posted December 16, 2004 January is going to be one nice month for cable users here. Chello has scheduled to upgrade two packages (one my dad is paying for) then as well. Something like 45 days to go. One thing is weird about that upgrade: Chello announced it in October, and says it will take three months to upgrade everyone. Then I see somewhere on the support page that it will take 'till the end of January that everyone is upgraded. Why does it have to take so damn long? DJVageli Posted December 16, 2004 Author CID Share Posted December 16, 2004 You know how those cable companies are, they just like to tease everyone for a little while before they actually do it lol

loganster Posted December 16, 2004 CID Share Posted December 16, 2004 How are you guys managing to get over your caps? I have 3000/256 and I hardly ever get over my downloads...fastest test was 3028. Should I set some RWIN values or something. BTW I'm behind a wireless router 100% signal strength...I plugged directly to my Cable modem and skipped the router and my speedtest went slower. How odd LOL ...Anyway...thanks for any advice in advance!
xs1 Posted December 16, 2004 CID Share Posted December 16, 2004 same here. With my 3000/386 connection via linksys router, i get from 3.0 -> 3.4 but if i plug it directly into the cable modem i cant exceed 2.8 here is my valuse tho
loganster Posted December 16, 2004 CID Share Posted December 16, 2004 Thank you for your fast reply. I'll try these settings on my computer and if it makes a big difference I'll let you know how I make out. If it's not a very big difference I'll just let it be. Maybe I'll get a significant increase.
