VanBuren Posted March 8, 2006 Author CID Share Posted March 8, 2006 we dont have any good web based speedtests here the best you will find is the testmy.net mirror i host, but that server is not optimized for oversea testing FiosFiend you could try this program i use, it measure speed to the main ISP

FiosFiend Posted March 8, 2006 CID Share Posted March 8, 2006 Wow Van....thanks for that. This is a very cool test. If I'm translating this correctly it's telling me that my max download is 15.89 Mbps max upload is 1.93 Mbps and actual is 1.7 Mbps up and 3.5 Mbps down. Is that correct? RAINMAKA Posted March 8, 2006 CID Share Posted March 8, 2006 FiosFiend im assuming that you are right because after i ran that test i got results that would make sense for my connection
FiosFiend Posted March 9, 2006 CID Share Posted March 9, 2006 I agree RAINMAKA, since my connection is 15/2 that makes perfect since to me. Pretty cool test tool. I'd love to have this test in English pointed at US servers.

UDP is a protocol that dosent use acknowledgepackets like TCP do, that means faster transfers, usually your cap unless you have alot of packetloss on the route Tptest is a opensource program, http://sourceforge.net/projects/tptest/ VanBuren
