Dang, and last year when I was here I got 13 Mbps on the download, must've been cached.  Well, this connection sucks.  :-|

Good thing the ping is killer.

The reason my ping to testmy.net is better than my ping to google is because I'm not too far away from the testmy.net servers.  Conway, Arkansas to Dallas, Texas........

testmy.net has a faster ping then google

WOW

wait untill google turns on their new data center

Ping has nothing to do with speed... Its the distance from you and the target.. Even when google opens a datacenter, if its not closer to him the ping times will still be higher.

Not any better, but I think I'll keep the tweaks for the remainder of my time here.  They probably cap the speed for each room, because no matter what time of day I test, it's always the same.
