dn0 Posted June 29, 2006 CID Share Posted June 29, 2006 Well, I finally got rid of my old trusty SB4200 and updated to the Moto SB5120 and also upgraded to the premium speeds. I have a need for speed and they cap me at 7000/512 . . .usually I test at 6800+/498 Heck . . .Cebridge Connections has a monopoly on this little hayseed area I live in. 15 miles away in Denton they have Comcast and much higher speeds. . Jammy n is:: 254 Kbps about 0.25 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Sp You're complaining about Cebridge having the monopoly over your area, but imagine the monopoly being a local company. Yep, that's my situation. Conway Corporation (Conway, AR pop. ~ 52,000), a local company, has the monopoly here, and they offer really crappy speeds, because they don't have much competition. AT&T DSL is available here, but average people don't care about that, they just get their internet from where everybody else is getting it. They don't know any better. Oh well, AT&T just brought back their 6/608 package, and I've been trying to convince my mom to get it. Maybe they're leftovers from when it was still produced. Maybe they're not. I head they were bringing it back as a fountain drink in select areas to monitor its consumption in those areas, Maybe that's what they're doing in Texas. If so, then that makes me one happy camper, because I'm going to Dallas on Monday. Are you seeing it everywhere or just in a few stores? I live in Aubrey Texas about 45 miles North of Dallas and every supermarket I have been in have it: Albertson's, Kroger's, Tom Thumb, Walmart and even the small stores. They also have cherry coke and a few even have diet vanilla coke.
gotmilk Posted July 7, 2006 CID Share Posted July 7, 2006 It's friday, and I just got back from Dallas. I didn't get a chance to visit any supermarkets, but I did go to a CVS pharmacy and they didn't have any there. On the way to Dallas, though, I went to an E-Z Mart (Shell), and they had Vanilla Coke on fountain there, that must be one of the places they're testing. I got a 44 oz. cup of it, and it was soooooo good. It's even better on fountain than in a can/bottle. Oh well, I guess all I guess for now I can only hope they start testing it here in central Arkansas, or even better, that they bring it back officially on fountain. EDIT: HA! Sorry, I got a bit off topic there.
