coolboy3003 Posted February 1, 2004 Author CID Report Share Posted February 1, 2004 to tell you the truth my internet is untweaked, i have optimum online, my cable modem is a sb5100, but sb4200 would give me same speeds, and this speedtest server is far away from me so my speeds are a little low here, but thats how i get my blazin speeds my internet cap is at 10dl/1up so i'm enjoying it. coolboy3003 Posted February 2, 2004 Author CID Report Share Posted February 2, 2004 i have a dell dimension 8200 2ghz pc personally before this i had 6mbits dl/1mbit up with the same internet. but also i had an older router netgear wireless and that capped me believe it or not to that 6mbit speed and after unhooking it i found that i was getting 10mbits. i also just bought a new modem recently(sb5100), but that only helped a tiny bit, more so with my upload. So if you have a router that could very well be your problem, and tell me what internet you have, so i can see whats up, if in fact it is the router, you might wanna go out and get one that won't cap you, in a few weeks i will do that as my solution thanks jon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
