RAINMAKA Posted October 21, 2006 CID Share Posted October 21, 2006 a friend of mine recently got dsl, he used to have aol dialup. he said that he couldn't get it setup so i figured i would give it a try. im pretty sure the dsl is working fine, i went to 192.168.0.1 and everything with dsl looked good. i thought it may have been something with internet explorer so i downloaded ie7 but when it was done the file said it couldn't be opened and was not a windows file. i tried firefox and got the same thing. i then thought maybe a fresh install of windows, popped in the xp disc and rebooted the computer and then a screen came up saying the a cd drive and or floppy was not detected. but i went into bios and made sure both were enabled and on which they were and i know they worked because we used them while in windows. any ideas on what i should try?
