disturbed Posted November 12, 2006 CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 ...I have been using Firefox for a very long time - including the 2.0 version. I have not paid much attention to this feature, but I have to point out how cool it is.... For example...lets say that you are typing a reply on a forum - you type a lot of text and while usually you don't care about spelling errors, you really want to avoid having them.... Firefox has a nice answer to it ! It has an integrated spell checker - how freakin' awesome ! You right click on a word that gets underlined (as misspelled) and select the correct word. I love it ! PS. You can also add other language dictionaries (besides English)

ratchet Posted November 12, 2006 CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 Actually, with the spellbound extension, it has always had an underlying spell check. If you download it now, you don't have to back space to correct it (still can if you want to), just correct them all at once when you are finished. Scroll through these and you'll find it! http://webdesigns.ms11.net/chromeditp.html
ratchet Posted November 12, 2006 CID Share Posted November 12, 2006 Also, to make the default checker work in search fields you need to enter about:config in the address field and change "layout.spellchecker default" from 1 to 2!
