Nursedude Posted November 23, 2006 CID Share Posted November 23, 2006 I have a VERY fast DSL connection with Bellsouth.net.....6.3 on you download test here....but I know some people in my zip code are getting the MAX upload which is 512...but they are not as fast as my download...I can't seem to get above 415-430 on my upload? Are there any tweaks for getting faster upload speeds...I certainly don't want to mess around with my Download....it's GREAT! Thanks for any future replies
Shug7272 Posted November 24, 2006 CID Share Posted November 24, 2006 Hey nursedude, welcome to the site. I take you are a male nurse, MY BROTHER. Me two, two gay peas in a pod. You know we are all gay right? Anyway, I am not "the man" as far as tweaks but I would say if your DL is that good and your UL is that close I wouldn't jack with it. Outside of bittorrent I cant think of you needing that small of a upload boost.
tommie gorman Posted November 24, 2006 CID Share Posted November 24, 2006 Welcome to the forum From previous experience I would say you might have to loose some D/L to gain any U/L. As you say, don't mess with the D/L. So don't bother as shug said. Nice speeds, and enjoy your stay. And post a speed test to make sure. Try the 1013 file test. It should work well for that connection speed.
Sparticus Posted November 24, 2006 CID Share Posted November 24, 2006 Again welcome Nursedude! Yes there are some tweaks, but do you really need that extra bit of UL?

tommie gorman Posted November 25, 2006 CID Share Posted November 25, 2006 Well like dlewis said Nursedude, you might give TCP Optimizer a go. It is rather simple to run really. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013 Or directly here. https://www.speedguide.net/ Good luck.
