Hey guy's I'm having problems with my internet.When I'm downloading,watching video or gaming it just stops communicating.its fine when I'm surfing and it doesn't lose connection.any ideas

I have TMC now , and have many intermittent issues , while there doing the move, Just a question back at ya , Can you load the roadrunner home page? I have never been able to.

For that matter, can anyone else?

Outlaw69, are you running a router or a firewall? May be a port issue.  What do you get for a speed test?

Yes I'm using a router(Dlink DI 524) and just the windows firewall.It did this about two months ago now it's doing it again.I'll try without the router and see what happens.

Download Connection is:: 4849 Kbps about 4.85 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB)

Download Speed is:: 592 kB/s

Upload Connection is:: 364 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 579 kB)

Upload Speed is:: 44 kB/s

It wont connect to the internet directly from the cable modem,I've always had that problem,it has problems getting the IP.But problem is when downloading a big file the speed just drops and it stops communicating.

I got TWC coming out tomorrow.I was on the phone with them and they said the modem,router and pc look fine.

Have you tried to reset the router recently?  Is the IP address that you are give 169.xxx.xxx.xxx?  I have never heard of an onboad NIC going bad with out some type of outside problem like a power surge.. Has the onboard NIC ever worked?
