Has it always been this way?  Did you try one of the mirrors?  Do other speed tests give similar results.  Does downloading a file from Microsoft download at the same speeds?

Some of us have jobs you know and can't post all day like others can.  If you want help, be more patient.

If you doctor was performing brain surgery on you, would you be yelling at him to hurry up, or would you prefer he take his time?

I have a job too, but I hear you.  Here are my Speakeasy results which are much better.:

Upload Speed: 1795 kbps (224.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Wow, I have no idea about any of that  :undecided:, this is what I got trough my connection

Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Done

running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 5.18Mb/s

running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 1.04Mb/s

The slowest link in the end-to-end path is a 100 Mbps Full duplex Fast Ethernet subnet

Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Done

running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 1.92Mb/s

running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 10.67Mb/s

The slowest link in the end-to-end path is a 10 Mbps Ethernet subnet

Alarm: Duplex mismatch condition exists: Host set to HD and Switch set to FD

It appears you have a cable set to full duplex and maybe the router set to half . May want to check that out , I have also noticed this will flag , when you have a twisted pair ( networked box- box) one machine set as a server for the others.

edit: of course most routers have a setting to let you know this.

you dont have to change anything the test reads the line wrong and it is not correct.  make sure your computer is clean of viruses and spyware and to rule out some equipment try to directly connect the modem to your comp and try a test on www.speakeasy.net/speedtest on the nyc test and that would be most accurate for you since its so close.  post the results back here and we can try tweaking it from there  :smile2:

sorry if i take a bit to respond cause i am a bit busy with other things and i am currently helping 3 others with there optimum connections.

Your speed results are better than what your advertised speeds are....?  What cablenut setting are you using?
