castoy Posted July 10, 2007 Author CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 try this guys... i think azureus works better than utorrent for us smart bro users... i kinda found a solution for the NAT error thing... what i did was just add a TCP port in my firewall and poof... the NAT error is gone and i can connect to more seeds compared to utorrent... jun101ph Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 TRY ARES better the utorrent
gourame Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 have you touched the canopy under NAT for that port forwarding? how was it done in your case?
jun101ph Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 Actually my smartbro is connected to a router (Speedstream 6520), I just tried to configure the port forwarding for my router, adding services like TCP or UDP (port) then routed to a static ip address. But I have not yet tried on the Canopy.
gourame Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 ok that seems to be doable with a router, guess pretty much changing the NAT on the the canopy wont be of help because one subscriber has already tried and he was booted out from accessing the canopy again, just forget the name though. how many pc's have you got there routed by the way? whats your MTU or the routers? just a question cause i might try to connect one in the other room. jun101ph Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 I have 3 PCs connected, and MTU = 1500. It's hard to experiment on the canopy.hehe...
gourame Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 ok, that sounds cool 3 pcs routed on a single canopy, are all those pc on the same OS? would love to know if some or one of those are running on xp pro and the other at xp home and the speed details for each OS, oh my that would be nice on my case and ill try much more tweakin' different OS. jun101ph Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 1 Home XP and 2 Pro XP. Only 1 is licensed the rest pirated.hehe...About the speed, if all the computers are downloading, the internet speed is divided into 3.

grift3r74 Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 But its fast and light.. I also have ares and I use it for dloading music only since it has a built in player.. But I mostly use utorrent especially for software dloads.. (actually I have Emule, limewire, ares, utorrent installed and each one has its own uses)
jun101ph Posted July 10, 2007 CID Share Posted July 10, 2007 It doesn't really matter what OS you are using based on my observation. They both give similar speed
