ghostmaster Posted October 27, 2007 CID Share Posted October 27, 2007 Uh, You actually should be able to access the BIOS without the hard drive. Make sure that your RAM is in good, and reseat the processor.
biker9075 Posted October 28, 2007 Author CID Share Posted October 28, 2007 Got it working, I had to do something with the jumpers before it would work.

biker9075 Posted October 28, 2007 Author CID Share Posted October 28, 2007 So when I get the OS disk, do I just pop that in, load the OS from the CD and then reformat?
Guest ExtremeFusion Posted October 28, 2007 CID Share Posted October 28, 2007 So when I get the OS disk, do I just pop that in, load the OS from the CD and then reformat? That is if you have done back-up and everything.... Yes, just pop in the OS disk to your DVD/CD rom then that should start booting (if it's a bootbale disk) Are you running windows?! 'Cause I'm talkng about windows and not Mac...
biker9075 Posted October 30, 2007 Author CID Share Posted October 30, 2007 Up and running on my new computer. Having some trouble with the floppy drive though, its detected, but it wont load floppy's, its pretty old so it might not even be working properly. The only reason I want one is to update the bios and avoid double boot
ballista Posted October 30, 2007 CID Share Posted October 30, 2007 You shouldn't need a floppy drive to flash your bios. Unless your talking about flashing your video card bios. The software that came with your motherboard should have a way to flash from windows. Just read the bios area of your instruction manual or search on abit website.
