Ive done all the 20steps and the tweak but nothing happen.. my connection reached 350kbps+ at 3am - 8am only.. how can i make the 350kbps stable? coolbuster2007 Posted November 13, 2007 CID Share Posted November 13, 2007 sir coolbuster thats my speed at 4pm to 7pm remember that smartbro is wireless w/c has intermittent speed. it is normal to get that speed during peak hours when there's more smartbro users online. as the usercount in your canopy page increases, your speed decreases because you share the same color code (access point). Guest enzobaby Posted November 14, 2007 CID Share Posted November 14, 2007 sir coolbuster i just wanna ask,im using NOD32 anti virus, does it affect my speed or should i switch to Avast?
coolbuster2007 Posted November 14, 2007 CID Share Posted November 14, 2007 @ enzobaby there are those who are using nod32 and still get high speeds. however, there are also some who switched to avast and got higher speeds. another thing which makes the difference is that avast is freeware. coolbuster2007 Posted November 14, 2007 CID Share Posted November 14, 2007 @ miloboy thank you for taking time to post those images. some say they are effective but i've been avoiding the use of norton products. they are so heavy on memory usage and the shareware factor is a minus. using quickfix especially quickfix 2 is a no no. it does'nt live up to its name, in other words it does not fix anything. i hope you are not running bearshare in startup and when having a speed test coz it will greatly affect your speed. and nod32 may affect internet speed. try avast, comodo firewall pro, and comodo boclean. this combi works great for me. smartbroken_user Posted November 14, 2007 CID Share Posted November 14, 2007 where can i download that? If you like to see the real speed of your internet you can do it by simply, opening a website that will stream a video, and then download net stat live http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/nsl.htm, this will let you determine your real download rate. take a look at this picture as my example:
