Another Ubuntu queston about the new upgrade...

Recommended Posts

What version do you have? I suppose I could download the ISO for it and install it, then do some app installation and general use on it and perform an in-line OTA upgrade on it and let you know of the results.

Thanks,

EBrown

If it were me, I would have a backup of images and documents, the good old drag and drop works well.

Just grab a USB stick and have at it.

After this I might open a sudo terminal and type in ~

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

If it complains (or succeeds) then you can just run~

apt-get dist-upgrade

If you don't see the red icon for sudo term then just use a normal user shell (the black one) and type the same as above, just type 'sudo' before the command (no ticks)
