KingCobra Posted May 15, 2005 CID Share Posted May 15, 2005 Actually, if he's on the 5/2 plan, he's missing some upstream and downstream bandwidth. I'm not really sure why some people think it's funny or ok that someone with a high speed fiber connection has no right to complain about sub par performance. Fiber is forcing the cable and dsl providers to increase the speeds of their offerings. In fact, many of the cable and dsl providers have plans that are faster than the FIOS 5/2 plan. Dark_Matter Posted May 15, 2005 CID Share Posted May 15, 2005 Hell (LoL) just give me FIOS, and you won't hear a complaint from me i can't wait to have those killer upstream scores.

KingCobra Posted May 15, 2005 CID Share Posted May 15, 2005 You scores are ok but not stellar.
xs1 Posted May 16, 2005 CID Share Posted May 16, 2005 Fios is nice because of the upload, but even 2 mb up is not that "impressive". Still.. 5 times faster then my upstream , but nothign that great. 5/2 and 15/2 is nice, 30 / 5 is much too expensive, but they should have an inbetween package.. like 4/4 or 5/5 or 10/10. If be very happy with either
KingCobra Posted May 16, 2005 CID Share Posted May 16, 2005 They actually do have a 5/5 plan but it's on the business side and too expensive.
dlewis23 Posted May 16, 2005 CID Share Posted May 16, 2005 all ISP charge way too much for the higher upload speeds. Its BS because when you pay for the higher upload speeds to run something like a web server, Then the isp blocks the ports that it needs. all i want is 10/10MBPS for a affordable price, is that so much to ask. msucbj Posted May 31, 2005 CID Share Posted May 31, 2005 Sacramento valley, CA you say? I heard that region is way to expensive to live in. In neighboring Silicon valley, people with 100K+ jobs live in homeless shelters it's so expensive there. (at least when national geographic reported on it)
