Mele20 Posted July 19, 2005 CID Share Posted July 19, 2005 I've been a member here for four months. How come only the two tests done yesterday and today are being used to calculate my average speed? I have saved all test results here to a Word document. I can put one of the links from a test, say three months ago, in the address bar and come here and find that test. So, all the tests, since I joined, are here in the data base. Thus, why are they not used in calculating my average speed? Why can't I find those tests when I do a search here? Why do I have to refer to my Word document and paste in the test number before it is found in searching here?
php Posted July 19, 2005 CID Share Posted July 19, 2005 Are you logged in when you run the tests? edit: not for all of them... your test history edit #2: your average speed is a 30 day average...

If your IP changes you want to make sure your logged in to get a nice long log of results. This will only log the results that you have taken WHILE logged in, if you search by comp_id this will pull results for your IP (though the comp_id masks your ip from the public's eye) if your IP changes then it will try and pull for your current IP. If your on an ISP who changes their customers IP's frequently the only way for testmy.net to keep track of all your records are if you stay logged in ... hope this clears up your question.
