Shug7272 Posted August 26, 2005 CID Share Posted August 26, 2005 Hello and welcome to the site. Hope you like it and tell your friends. Try this and if it does not help you I always recommend TCP OPTIMIZER, I get more results from it than cablenut. http://www.testmy.net/topic-1013
netmasta Posted August 26, 2005 CID Share Posted August 26, 2005 ive tried everything and i cant go faster im using rg59 to connect my modem could thids be my problem? That could be your problem. From Wikipedia: For cable television it is important to use the correct type of coaxial cable. RG-59/U should be avoided, and only RG-6/U, or in cases of severe interference, RG-6/UQ (quad-shield) used. Many consumers have purchased the cheaper RG-59/U to use as an extension for cable television, only to find it causes severe interference. Also, unknown to most cable television customers, leakage of signals can cause interference to aircraft communications which operate on the same frequency as several cable channels. This may even be a violation of the law. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coaxial_cable

jdandco Posted September 1, 2005 CID Share Posted September 1, 2005 I recently relocated my PC and installed a new cable connection. I also added broadband phone service. I was thinking this was ausing my to have slow speeds. I have Comcast 4meg down, and thorugh this website I was at less than 1meg. After applying the tweaks, CC Cleaner, Van Buren's settings and TCP Optimizer I am at 4.8 meg 12% faster than average. I used the cheap cable extension by the way, it was all I had at the time and it is great. Upstream is about 386Kb, I don't think they have upgraded this in my area yet. Thanks for all the tips
