Hollywoodx954x Posted September 20, 2005 CID Share Posted September 20, 2005 I don't know if anyone else has this but if I want at anytime I can call this comcast guy up which I know and tell him to install comcast HSI at my house for only $300 one-time fee, and never pay a monthy bill for as long as you live. Im not sure if anyone else has heard of this or has it but sucks to be you because I do.
resopalrabotnick Posted September 20, 2005 CID Share Posted September 20, 2005 :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: but seriously. :violent1: :violent1: :violent1: sure you can have an installer do an install in his free time. and he will charge you double. then he will leave you hooked up with a probably stolen modem. all will be just great and you won't have to pay a monthly fee. until one fine morning another installer comes across the line, or the system red flags the modem noone is paying for and you get the case for fraud filed against you. do i consider 300 bucks for an illegal install cheap? maybe. is it worth the jailtime? (the longer you stay unnoticed the worse the case, lolol) no. but have at it, i hear jails have internet access too, let us know how it went. Theace1 Posted September 23, 2005 CID Share Posted September 23, 2005 LOL. I had a guy like that who installed Comcast for me who told me he could get me free internet for around 250 one time charge. I might do it once the 6 month deal w/ Comcast ends.

resopalrabotnick Posted September 24, 2005 CID Share Posted September 24, 2005 why? if he's offered it to one he's prolly done it to offers. driving everyones connection costs up through lost revenue. if you help the company catch him, they might prove grateful beyond a handshake. (longterm free internet legally?)
Hollywoodx954x Posted September 24, 2005 Author CID Share Posted September 24, 2005 why would i do that, comcast has enough money pouring down their throats why can i get some damn free internet.
Hollywoodx954x Posted September 24, 2005 Author CID Share Posted September 24, 2005 and its not stealing it, cuz you have a real comcast person doing it and comcast already knows about that line. how can comcast not know about that line if its using up bandwidth. also that line is a employee type of line and if you know someone from comcast they'll do that for you. tbaker397 Posted September 24, 2005 CID Share Posted September 24, 2005 say you would pay 42.95 if you didnt take this deal. 300 a month translates into almost 7 months of service at that price. you would be better off trying to get a 30/month for 6 months because its cheaper. resopalrabotnick Posted September 24, 2005 CID Share Posted September 24, 2005 ah, the p2p problem. i have a way to steal from comcast so why shouldn't i, they are just a company. well maybe because comcast pays for the sum of the traffic generated by its users and calculates it into the price they charge. if less people pay for their traffic the users that do pay have to pay more. it's the shoplifting phenomenon, simply put. that is why if i see somebody stealing from a store i report him, because he is stealing from me. (happened twice, once the guy learned i am an offensive lineman, hehehe.) the other thing is why do you think it's ok for you to loose a line someone hooked you up with. you personally know for certain that they have no 300 dollar once then free plan. so it is something the tech is doing on his own time, using his position on the company to pilfer their system. that makes it fraud on your side because you are using a comcast connection without paying for it. again, the longer you don't get caught, the worse the penalty. and don't think telling the jury but i had no idea it was illegal. they aren't stupid.
