drebel Posted April 30, 2006 CID Share Posted April 30, 2006 right next to you and I have the same issues, I called them up and all they are going to do is send in a technician to see with his own eyes since they obviously don't believe me and the line stats say everything is working fine. silverdarkpr Posted June 24, 2006 CID Share Posted June 24, 2006 yes indeed people they are using throttling and blockng udp ports but they instructed their employees " allegedly " just to inform customers only that their service is online and to hide behind their best excuse.. they dont guarantee the speed, Ive spoken with DACO and FCC and they say they have no power to regulate cases involving internet speeds or cable tv signals... so what do we do people.??? what do we do?? resopalrabotnick Posted June 25, 2006 Author CID Share Posted June 25, 2006 i'm testing way under a 1000 kilobit per sec right now but if i start a download from microsoft it pulls it in at a steady 445 KB/sec. so right at the cap of my modem. same thing with www.pandora.com the web can be at the hellish slow onelink speeds and that thing buffers its audio at full throttle. highlanderc Posted November 30, 2006 CID Share Posted November 30, 2006 as of right now... you can download way faster with dmax... w/o throttling on all angles. That is something to really consider.

tommie gorman Posted November 30, 2006 CID Share Posted November 30, 2006 In case anybody does not know Reso., that was an idle threat. Believe me. He could always go DSL first, if I remember right.
Sparticus Posted November 30, 2006 CID Share Posted November 30, 2006 Satelite costs more, requires more maintenance, and is unreliable. (No offense)
