netmasta Posted October 17, 2005 CID Share Posted October 17, 2005 Are you talking about Windows Media Player? WMP has built in support for .avi files.

raptors892004 Posted October 18, 2005 CID Share Posted October 18, 2005 You can just get VLC Media Player which has those plugins built in.. It even plays incomplete media files

bumblebee Posted October 19, 2005 CID Share Posted October 19, 2005 You can just get VLC Media Player which has those plugins built in.. It even plays incomplete media files The only thing I don't like about VLC is you can't load a bunch of files from different directories into the play queue (and it crashes more than my ATI player that just deletes unfamiliar formats or codecs from the queue). Does K-Lite let you do that??

junkieXL Posted October 20, 2005 CID Share Posted October 20, 2005 i'm not a fan of "all-in-one" codecs as they can & will mess things up in the .dll department. Definitly download & install these 2 latest specific .*avi codecs: XviD .AVI Codec: http://www.xvid.org DivX .AVI Codec: www.divx.com -JxL
