rammolo Posted November 1, 2005 CID Share Posted November 1, 2005 Not really, its just looking for the CD with the streamlined XP-2 version

anox195 Posted November 1, 2005 CID Share Posted November 1, 2005 I would re-format install sp1 and do not install sp2 again.
cholla Posted November 1, 2005 CID Share Posted November 1, 2005 I would contact Microsoft & ask them .There should be tech support for this. If thats not possible then uninstall the SP2 probably in the addremove section of control panel. Then sfc /scannow. Then reinstall SP2 .The reason I think it says its not the version installed is SP2 changed some files If I understand how SFC works it compares the current files with the original files & restores the original files. raptors892004 Posted November 1, 2005 CID Share Posted November 1, 2005 maybe cuz of the built-in firewall(s) that many ppl think are important
