amc11890 Posted November 7, 2005 CID Share Posted November 7, 2005 yeah those tests r real....BTW how much does it cost?
cdf216 Posted November 7, 2005 Author CID Share Posted November 7, 2005 Only $15 per month over the standard charge. However you have to have Digital cable, RoadRunner, and Digital Phone to get this speed. about $180 per month. But I have The premium channels HBO etc in my Digital TV. You can get a 10/1 package if you have only Digital Cable and Roadrunner for $10 above your current bill. One thing I find interesting is that even at nearly $180 I still get a great deal. RoadRunner Business Class's Top Tier is 5/2 and costs $499 a month. So i'm getting 3 times the download, and the same upload at 1/3rd the cost and have TV and Phone service thrown in. Saving money on phone too, since there are no long distance charges with digital phone.

cdf216 Posted November 7, 2005 Author CID Share Posted November 7, 2005 If you have Digital Cable TV (the one with the DVR) and RoadRunner you could match my speeds. If you're on BrightHouse Tampa Bay. They're offering 2 new tiers but only for their "Digital Combo" subscribers 10/1 for TV and RR at $10 more a month or if you have Digital Phone also they'll give you 15/2 for $15 a month extra. They even let me upgrade from the standard 5/384 to 10/1 during the time I was waiting for a tech to come and install the Digital Phone service (2 weeks). That was good but 15/2 is awesome. I didn't lose any money on bills as I just cancled my standard Phone service, about the same as the cost of Digital Phone per month and I no longer have to pay for long distance. cdf216 Posted November 7, 2005 Author CID Share Posted November 7, 2005 Call BrightHouse directly. It's not a TW package but exclusive to BrightHouse Tampa Bay.
