wingzero2309 Posted November 21, 2004 CID Share Posted November 21, 2004 i have noticed that my download goes down wen my upload gets too high, so i use the thing in bittornado to limit my max upload to 50 instead of like 70 because 1)i cant surfe the web if its that high, and 2)my download suffers
crapsound Posted August 19, 2008 CID Share Posted August 19, 2008 Maybe because of the number of peers...? Or maybe because of the bandwidth of the peers...? Sometimes that happens to me too...
Siryak Posted August 20, 2008 CID Share Posted August 20, 2008 TBH I have the best luck with speed when using an OLD version of Bitcomet. I can't remember what version it was. I am on a new comp that I just got a few days ago and it is on the old comp that is boxed up atm.
fattymcbluff Posted August 20, 2008 CID Share Posted August 20, 2008 well do you have comcast?
xs1 Posted August 20, 2008 CID Share Posted August 20, 2008 Lower your upload maximum and let it run.. usually it depends on the torrent. Some torrents you will upload faster than your download... and others youll get more seeds and download faster than you uplad. all depends

ninjageek Posted August 21, 2008 CID Share Posted August 21, 2008 I have Comcast does that matter??? Yea it matters. Comcast is pretty bad about slowing down thoes that use torrents. Thats the rumor anyway. My self I use utorrent. Its pretty fast. Plus I use utorrent filter. It kinda helps. Blocks bad seeders.
biker9075 Posted August 21, 2008 CID Share Posted August 21, 2008 I have used both utorrent and azurus...both gave me excellent download speeds. I do know however that some isp's do slow down torrents. Verizon doesn't, so I never usually have a problem. Also make sure you open up the ports in your router. That will make a big difference
fattymcbluff Posted August 21, 2008 CID Share Posted August 21, 2008 I have Comcast does that matter??? Comcast blocks bit torrent traffic but if you use say µtorrent then you can just enable encryption witch is built in to µtottent and you should get past it
