Bird Fan Posted December 20, 2005 CID Share Posted December 20, 2005 Decade, run this test: http://server1.testmy.net/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=2992&st=st&ta=&top= What's your rate code I'll have a screenshot showing at the bottom to show you how to find it. Go here to see the code: http://192.168.0.1/fs/advanced/advanced.html Has support told you to force range? What's your signal? What kind of pings are you getting to the DW7000? (If you don't know how to do a ping, go to start->run->type "cmd" without the quotes->then type "ping 192.169.0.1" without the quotes-> and post your average ping here. Are you behind a router or a switch? Is there any spyware, adware, malware, viruses, trojans, etc. on your computer? Check this page for info on getting rid of it: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=4257.0 (it's outdated, but if you want an updated version of spyware tools go here: http://www.basketballboards.net/forum/showthread.php?t=157363 that's a list of good programs on my personal forum on another message board.) Have you installed cablenut? or tcp optimizer? Cablenut can be found at cablenut.com, and tcp optimizer is almost the same as cablenut, cablenut is just more advanced. I included a screenshot of my settings that you can use.

tonyp56 Posted December 20, 2005 CID Share Posted December 20, 2005 Hey tony, I already called Dway's support, (look on page 3) they basically told me my systems fine, because of course they went by the Dway Speed Tests.
Bird Fan Posted December 20, 2005 CID Share Posted December 20, 2005 W I hate to ask you this, but do a test around 3 in the morning, with the biggest file on download and the 5** size file on upload, and post your results. I'd be curious to know what they are then. Always, always, always, test with the biggest download test. It soooo much more accurate.

It may sound like I'm shitting you, but I've always had a lot of difference. Since I have a high speed burst, the 579 kb one isn't very accurate, as it says my connection is 2mb down. The 1496 is actually pretty accurate (I used to use it), and is one that is fine for posters to test on. I just prefer the 2992 kb one as I've gotten used to using it in the past couple months. ghostmaster Posted December 20, 2005 CID Share Posted December 20, 2005 What site are you pinging there? You don't need to force range at this point, because you have the highest rate you can get. (256k 4/5) Those pings don't look right, they should be around 600-800ms for the 7000. (at that rate code anyways) Lets wee what happens tonight after peak hours are over.... ghostmaster Posted December 23, 2005 CID Share Posted December 23, 2005 yeah they did 192.169.*.* the first time lol..I was like huh?.... Yeah that looks fine....I still say it's something at Dway's end, not at your site..your high rate code indicates that your site is setup fine. I don't know what to think anymore, they have something totally screwed up there....You are definately not the only one having this problem though... Have you called the installer to get them to come back out and check everything? (grounding, etc)
