richcornucopia Posted December 14, 2005 CID Share Posted December 14, 2005 You'll need to do some tweaking, for starters, follow this guide http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=2097.
rammolo Posted December 14, 2005 CID Share Posted December 14, 2005 Hi, What are your advertised speeds?
raptors892004 Posted December 15, 2005 CID Share Posted December 15, 2005 If your actual speeds are way lower than your advertised ones, you could download Cablenut from http://www.cablenut.com and Van Buren's v2 settings from here - https://testmy.net/topic-1013 and try TCP Optimizer as well. Choose the best of Van Buren's settings that fits your connection type and MSS value which you can figure out by visiting the TCP Analyzer website here - https://www.speedguide.net/analyzer.php . Also make sure you have a virus and spyware free pc as those nasties can slow down your connection too. Hope this helps

JohnA Posted December 17, 2005 CID Share Posted December 17, 2005 my advertised speeds are 3Mbps/ 768 Kbps How much are you paying, and where are you at? You are on the 768/128 service level according to your tests. Pull your modem stats http://192.168.1.1/transtat.htm
