  2. Here's a fix you can download: http://www.noidea.us/easyfile/file.php?show=20050515010747824 Here's removal directions from a forum called"Spyware Warrior". This looks like a tricky removal. 1 -- Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet. 2 -- Please go to the following website http://www.noidea.us/easyfile/file.php?download=20050515010747824 . Click on Spyware Utilities. . Then click on Nail/Aurora Fix download Nailfix.exe Unzip it to the desktop but please o NOT run it yet. 3 -- Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following: 1) Restart your computer 2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8. 3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear 4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode. For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site: http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml 4 -- Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal. 5 -- Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan. 6 -- Next please run HijackThis, click Scan, and put a check mark beside: F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:WINDOWSNail.exe O2 - BHO: Band Class - {01F44A8A-8C97-4325-A378-76E68DC4AB2E} - C:WINDOWSsystb.dll O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {2CDE1A7D-A478-4291-BF31-E1B4C16F92EB} - (no file) O4 - HKLM..Run: [picsvr] C:WINDOWSsystem32picsvrpicsvr.exe O4 - HKLM..Run: [Nsv] C:WINDOWSsystem32nsvsvcnsvsvc.exe O4 - HKLM..Run: [Win Server Updt] C:WINDOWSwupdt.exe O4 - HKLM..Run: [pbmxhik] c:windowssystem32ejfbdi.exe r O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:WINDOWSsvcproc.exe Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked. 7 -- Then use Windows Explorer to delete the following lists of program files and folders, if they still exist. C:WINDOWSNail.exe <-- this file C:WINDOWSsystb.dll <-- this file C:WINDOWSsvcproc.exe <-- this file C:WINDOWSwupdt.exe <-- this file c:windowssystem32ejfbdi.exe <-- this file C:WINDOWSsystem32picsvr <-- this folder C:WINDOWSsystem32nsvsvc <-- this folder Please let me know about any problems with the file/folder deletes. 8 -- Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido Thanks daveai _________________ If you found our service worthwhile, and want to help keep Spyware Warrior running please consider donating here. 3. What does a mod chip do? Heard about this chip with PS2 also.
  4. If you have something like Norton Internet Security, disable it while you are doing your download test. Zonealarm hampers a proper test also.
  5. Tweaking would work better if you upgraded your XP to SP2.
  6. if you are running Windows XP, use your system restore and use a restore point that was saved before your power outage.
  7. Someone likes to build Bionicles too!(I know it is probably your sons). That's what you get for posting a high resolution picture! :)
  8. I'm having a great fathers day so far!! It's been non-stop fun since my son made me breakfast this morning(it wasn't the greatest but

  14. I've used Norton products for the last 5 years without a problem. Am using Internet Security 2005 right now.
  15. I live in the province of Alberta in Canada. It is more rural than urban. The two largest cities(Calgary and Edmonton), have a population of 2 million of a total of 3.1 million for all of Alberta. Lots of breathing space and a diversity of prairies, mountains, and forest which is very sparsely populated. Lots of ranchers, hunters, farmers that have long guns. The total land area of Alberta is comparable to Idaho and Montana combined.
  16. I live in Canada but it's like everywhere else, has the good and the bad. There is crime and violence here but not to such a scale as most parts of the US. You have to remember, the population of Canada is only 31 million(I believe).Less people=less crime. Also, they had instituted gun control a few years back which means you have to pass a gun course to be able to buy a gun and everything is documented. You were supposed to register all your guns you own when it came in but alot of people didn't. Bottom line is that it penalizes honest people(hunters) from getting guns but the crook will get his guns from off the street. I don't think the criminal will have his gun registered before he commits an armed robbery. Canada is a beautiful country but we aren't the frozen north like everyone thinks. Winter is a little longer than most states but still the same. It is just in the far north where things are frozen(arctic). They very rarely get snow on the west coast(same weather as Seattle, etc.) Most of the winter you would see in Canada is comparable to Idaho and Montana. We do have good beer! :D
  17. I bought an OEM full working copy of Norton Internet Security on E-bay and registered it to get the full year updates from Symantec. It works great and I have support and all virus and other updates from Symantec. The important thing is to check a sellers feedback and check other items they have sold to see if other people have bought the same thing that you want to buy and
  18. i have something similar(radio with an antenna), here in Canada and I pay 42.95 canadian which works out to around 34.00 US. The closest you are to the tower, the more speed you get. It is possible to get 3000/500. I checked out their website(Airspeed), and they charge for everything. My provider came out and did a re-point on my antenna and no charge. This company seems a little pricey for what you get. falco
  19. I'm in Alberta, Canada and my antenna doesn't need line of sight. I'm about 17 miles from the nearest tower but it works pretty good. I get about 1 mb download and around 450 kbps upload. The provider is a small independent with about 250 subscribers. I pay 35.00 a month.
  20. Is that run off a radio like mine? I have something similar that runs off of a 900 Mhz radio with power over ethernet. The radio is in the grey box.
  21. I think I have it working. I played with some browser settings in IE and configured the pop-up blocker and I can display my gmail. Another IE thing!
  22. Tried clearing cache and cookies and am still having the same problem. This is a real stumper
  23. I can't seem to access my gmail. The notifer is installed but when I go to access inbox, it says "loading", but never loads. I have tried a few different links, but to no avail. Is anyone else having problems or is it just me? I'm not having trouble accessing any other websites.
