It says it is the wrong part number but i dont know wat that means because i did not even enter a part number??? Im thinkin that compaq stored there own piece of crap bios and they r not allowing me to update

o yeah i think this thing was 2000 dollars when my dad first bought it( i guess u could say this was not "my" first computer) BTW i still have this monster in my closet

That is wat makes me really confused..the jumper setting for the fsb are the same of what they always have been but know the fsb is lower Im not really notcicng a drastic perfromance difference either

My first pc was a old HP 8mb of ram not sure how big the hard drive was pentium 1 60mhz win 95

yeah i tried cpufsb...i changed the setting to where they are suppposed and applied them but my monitor just goes black after i apply them and weird thing is the computer is still on and functioning when the monitor goes blank

i tried flashing my bios but had no luck... I dled the flash utility and new bios but i kept on getting a file error. Im tryin a utility called cpu cool....i ended up settig all the speeds to where they were before with cpu cool but as soona s i applied the setting my monitor went black but my computer was still on and functioning.

o i see everyone ran out of ideas..great right around christmas when ill be getiin my 6600gt

lol..im bout to toss this thing out the window Anyway one other thing i noticed is that my dates have been all changed back to Jan 1 2002(around when i bought it)

I can evem move my cursor to any of those configurations..the cursor just skips them.

There is no possible way to change the setting. its not even an option to change the settings. The specs are just listed

yeah there are number like that but they cannot be changed...It says above where the numbers are that if "these are changed then it will cause system instability"
