When ever i attempt to turn on wep encyption the wirless signal goes to 95% then i loose conection.........I have been using my open network but now im worried about security issues. I have a westell Router/modem in one Westell usb adapter

wat does it say when u first start it up??? It will usually say wat f key to press to go to bios......... pay attention it usually goes quick

before it go too win xp loading screen..........it usually commands u if u want to go to bios setting it will say press F 5 or 6 ur watever it depends on ur computer.......u have to do it quicly

If u live in a highly populated area and everybody has ur cable provider then ur bound to get some slowdowns......I dont mean in ur house......in neighborhood....cable is a shared connection...specially during peak hrs........its like 4-10P.M.
