  6. I was thinking more along the lines of the applications tab. A much shorter list. Unless you want to google all of those, which I do at times when I am bored. That was the processes tab.
  7. Are you running a messenger service on it, like MSN or Yahoo? Try clicking on these keys Crtl+Alt+Delete and see what is running in the background.
  8. Welcome to the forum dnuge I have heard McAfee works for others on here. But I prefer the free AVG like Tim up there. It gives much better speeds.
  9. One more question unitychild, are you using any instant messengers? Like yahoo or msn?
  10. Welcome to the forum Zerger First see if you have anything running in the back ground. click on these keys.Ctrl+Alt+Del to see if anything is running in the background. Second of all don't test with the smart test. Use the "Largest - 2992 kB" for your D/L and the "Medium - 579 kB " for testing your U/L, if you aren't. The smart test always gives me bad scores.

  12. OK first are you a resident of the US. One of our Canadian members found things to be different. My expected wait time on the phone was 20 minutes to that number I gave you. So I will let you call. It appears the e-mail is jacked up at the moment, and that has them overloaded with calls. I wondered why it was messed up earlier.

  17. You might actually ask when you get hughes on the phone about availability of an upgrade. I got different answers on mine. I just am not ready. The TCP Optimizer did not hurt my connection speed. Anything else would be an argument. And I simply used the Reverands settings. It sounds like an upgrade on the FAP bucket would really be best.
  18. My first score was way up there too. I think it was 1/2 a minute before i realized why nothing was happening when I kept on clicking on the same 33 over and over again. So that is not as bad.

  24. Plan Z, scream talk convincingly to your ISP. I think it is on their end. And they need to do something about it. That is unacceptable. Just my opinion, of course. Just one more thing if I did not mention it before. Try the Edwido online scan, it is pretty good. And cannot be corrupted. http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/
