you dont have to change anything the test reads the line wrong and it is not correct. make sure your computer is clean of viruses and spyware and to rule out some equipment try to directly connect the modem to your comp and try a test on www.speakeasy.net/speedtest on the nyc test and that would be most accurate for you since its so close. post the results back here and we can try tweaking it from there sorry if i take a bit to respond cause i am a bit busy with other things and i am currently helping 3 others with there optimum connections.

alot of the time when i do an upload test it starts at the 2992 then to the 5983 and it fowards me again to 12159 kb test and when its done i never get the results it just says fowarding to results page. i get about 4mb to 4.7 mb upload to most test sites and the test worked fine before but now it doesnt and i keep getting put to the bigger test that isnt there.

my pings are a bit higher than normal and are normally about 43ms to 45ms but the speeds are just not there.

not very close at all and the closest i have gotten to tracking someone from there ip was there town or borough. i tried to trace my friends ip and the closest i got was that he lives somewhere in the bronx and that is not very close at all.
