  1. then what about the other few guys with powerboost that post 25 mb+ and they say its not cached but it i think it is cause if they offer 16 mb your not gonna hit over 20 mb cause they dont set a cap that high over the advertised speeds and some ISP's set the cap right at the advertised speed so i dont think its possible. if someone would post a log file from Docsdiag a program i can give you i can see what your modem is set at and you cant go past that so if anyone with comcast will do it PM me. this is what my modem is set at and it shows i have Optimum Boost docsBpi2MIBObjects.4.3.0 = [Octet-string] "Motorola Corporation" docsBpi2MIBObjects.4.4.0 = [Octet-string] 07D20208000000002B0000 docsBpi2MIBObjects.4.5.0 = [Octet-string] 07D1070B000000002B0000 docsBpi2MIBObjects.4.6.0 = [Octet-string] "" docsBpi2MIBObjects.4.7.0 = [Octet-string] 07B20101000000002B0000 docsBpi2MIBObjects.4.8.0 = [Octet-string] 07B20101000000002B0000 docsBpi2MIBObjects.4.9.0 = [Octet-string] "" docsQosMIB.1.2.2.4.2.5812.1 = [Octet-string] "OOL-BOOST-US" docsQosMIB.1.2.2.4.2.5812.2 = [Octet-string] "OOL-BOOST-US" docsQosMIB.1.2.2.4.2.5812.3 = [Octet-string] "OOL-BOOST-US" docsQosMIB.1.2.2.4.2.6189.1 = [Octet-string] "OOL-BOOST-DS" docsQosMIB.1.2.2.4.2.6189.2 = [Octet-string] "OOL-BOOST-DS" docsQosMIB.1.2.2.4.2.6189.3 = [Octet-string] "OOL-BOOST-DS" docsQosMIB.1.2.2.5.2.5812.1 = [integer32] 3 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.5.2.5812.2 = [integer32] 3 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.5.2.5812.3 = [integer32] 3 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.5.2.6189.1 = [integer32] 0 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.5.2.6189.2 = [integer32] 0 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.5.2.6189.3 = [integer32] 0 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.6.2.5812.1 = [Gauge32] 2000000 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.6.2.5812.2 = [Gauge32] 2000000<<<<<<< UPLOAD CAP docsQosMIB.1.2.2.6.2.5812.3 = [Gauge32] 2000000 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.6.2.6189.1 = [Gauge32] 30000000 docsQosMIB.1.2.2.6.2.6189.2 = [Gauge32] 30000000<<<<<<DOWNLOAD CAP docsQosMIB.1.2.2.6.2.6189.3 = [Gauge32] 30000000

  7. i can get that ookla speed test to be wrong at 75 mb for my 30 mb connection so i doubt it is that fast if it is 20/20
  8. its not going that fast man trust me and you can take a screenshot at the end of this file transfer. ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/test512
  9. those speeds are not real and can be fixed by clearing your cache. also are you using firewall?
  10. what speeds do you get to here with that file i gave you compared to before you tried my file
  11. if you have cablenut try that file and see if it helps and if not we'll try another one
  12. they messed up my bill and i only pay $45 a month for my 30/2 so i'm not gonna call and complain about it. try this file and try this test ( http://miranda.ctd.anl.gov:7123/ ) and when the test is done click on the statistics button and copy the stats and post them back here for me to see.
  13. Cable please check your PM's cause i sent you a few about my mirror that needs changes. its been a while and i know your busy so i dont know if you had time to check them all.
  14. thats exacly why i am not getting the 50 mb plan cause its useless and only good to say i have 50 mb. other than that i want the 10 mb upload and that comes with 35 mb download. the 5/50 package is a really nice price tho at $90 a month but my money is on the 10/35 for $170. the 10/50 is too much at $350 a month
  15. nope they are cached and the speeds should be upto 30 mb down and 2 mb upload. just pm me when your ready and we'll get those speeds higher
  16. no optimum doesnt offer static ip's unless its on lightpath so if you can change your mac address on your router that would do it or if you have another network card you can just use that and it will get a new ip.
  17. it has to be some software on your comp not letting it connect cause that would be really weird if they block that port
  18. did you change anything at all cause i dont think they block that port ? do you have a software firewall on your comp ?
  19. did anyone notice the region part where you can pick Russia, Australia and Europe just drag it to the part of the map where you want to test at and click the location.
  20. he has to have the 8 mb cause the 6 mb plan is boosted to 12 mb. this is the correct speeds for boost and everyone else posting 20 mb + i believe is cached.
  21. if it is cable port 80 is blocked by default on most cable isp's and i doubt that port 6112 is blocked. are you using a router cause your modem has nothing to do with the ports?
