  1. as soon as he sends me a pm i'll make an account and he can download a test file from testmy.net here and upload it to me. he can get the file here -- http://www.testmy.net/speedtest/ and if its that fast a 5 mb wont take long at all.
  2. i cant help it if they give me all these fast connections to pick from . move to nyc and you can have what i have for $45 a month with webhosting included.
  3. my opera gives me pretty good speeds but less than IE and firefox. good eyes
  4. the test reads it wrong cause all OOL users get that to some of those tests. Doriginal no its probably not cause i get from high teens to high 20's and its distance to the website and the route they take to it. i have the same problem with some friends and they get fast to other sites when i get slow to the ones they are fast at. its your node most likely but try these setting for a few days and test during the day and night to see how much of a difference there is and if you want to mess around more just ask here and we can tell you what to do.
  5. how about the other tests ? is this an overall improvement for you? just post up any problems you happen to have and we'll help ya :D
  6. try a test here real quick http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=12160&st=st&ta=&top=
  7. thats odd that you still have packetloss but try this file and we'll look into other stuff after that. this is probably the lowest i ever had to set any of my settings and a few of my friends for ool so lets see.
  8. try this file below and take that test again to see if there is still packetloss.
  9. click on statistics and copy and paste it here like my post
  10. hey if he wants to do it i will make him a username and password so he can upload a file to me on my ftp so we can see what he gets. if not i guess we'll never know if its real or not. just let me know and it can be ready in 5 min
  11. oops i thought i put it there http://miranda.ctd.anl.gov:7123/
  12. the tests are fine but just like any site some people have a problem that we have to figure out. also you might get more to speakeasy if you picked a closer test to you cause testmy.net is in texas. try one of the mirror tests http://www.testmy.net/tools/mirrors.php
  13. ok try this test and click on statistics when the test is done and post it back here. this shows packetloss and when i have packetloss to this site my speeds are slow but when i have no packetloss there it is high so it seems accurate for me. also dont worry about the programs nothing can get messed up from this and might take a bit of messing around to get the speeds you want but remember your not going to hit full speed to everywhere. here is my stats WEB100 Enabled Statistics: Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 14. try these settings below and see how it is. this is really the biggest i would set mine so lets start from here.
  15. here are those files for you Server 1 -- http://www.testmy.net/o-000 Server 2 -- http://www.testmy.net/o-000-2
  16. after you clear all the boxes on cablenut it is set back to windows default so it must be something else cause cablenut will only make your speed worse if you set it for a slower connection and you cleared the boxes which puts it back to normal.
  17. i have boost and i get from 20 mb to 30 mb to here depending on how congested it is but you get faster to optimum online cause your testing on there network which you happen to be a part of and anything off there network you might get lower results do you use any tweak programs like cablenut to make your speed faster? what anti-virus and firewall are you using?
  18. lol i was gonna say that also and if that doesnt work your software firewall might have that also i know mine does.
  19. yea i agree it can take it and it gives us good ideas what could be next and better for this site.
  20. my modem uses 192.168.100.1 and all i had to do is allow that ip and click the 2kxp-win and used this command to make a TXT file like the one i made above. it saves it in the docsdiag folder java -jar docsdiag.jar -vvv >output.txt
  21. exactly, everytime i buy something on credit i make sure i have the money
  22. its probably not that high cause it says my ping to there is 88 ms but here is my real ping. you should ping the ip below to see what yours is. C:Documents and SettingsEebobb>ping 64.81.127.2 Pinging 64.81.127.2 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 64.81.127.2: bytes=32 time=47ms TTL=61 Reply from 64.81.127.2: bytes=32 time=48ms TTL=61 Reply from 64.81.127.2: bytes=32 time=48ms TTL=61 Reply from 64.81.127.2: bytes=32 time=49ms TTL=61 Ping statistics for 64.81.127.2: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 47ms, Maximum = 49ms, Average = 48ms
