i dont know where surewest ISP offers service but i know its somewhere in cali so check it out cause they offer upto 20 mb upload and download for less than $100 a month from what i remember.

that seems to be it with all isp's just upgrading where fios is

i thought they were in some area's where fios is they offer 2000/15000 i think but i havent heard anything in a while about it.

well i just had more time to tweak it its pretty good but most sites cant do the speeds so i was actually thinking about downgrading to the 15/2 again cause there is no point to having that speed unless you share it with a few people. i would like more upload though and i am waiting for fios so i can get a business 5/5 plan. try this setting and see what you get. 1 of my comps gets no packetloss with this setting but the other suffers alot from it so let me know what happens. also save your old settings just incase those were better for you.

some isp's give you extra speed to get closer to your cap because they know you wont get it like verizon 768/3000 is set at 860/3360 but i'm not sure cause i think my modem fried last night and it doesnt work so i cant get in to see the rates its at. funny thing is in another topic i remember some1 asking me why i have so many connections and this is 1 reason i am glad i do cause i would be stuck with nothing right now.

tommie DSL isnt like cable and most likely not going to get very much over 80% like cable. DSL is more limited by distance and what condition your wires are outside to the C-O. i had 3 dsl companies and all got over 80% but not by much and not over 90% but i was at a decent distance from the C-O (5600 feet) giving me all available options.

www.vyrax.com has some wireless stuff and i am doing what you are but just to my friends and it will cost me about $200 for my equipment for my house so it will be around that price depending on what you get. below is a pic of the houses i want to connect wireless but a building might be blocking me and we have to test it when my friend has time cause this is his project.

to test the reliability of the service and compare services from the same location which alot of peole cant do and i have alot of options to choose from and fios is next on my list. i also always have a 2nd line for a backup with a different isp just incase 1 goes out the other shouldnt go out.
