  1. i'm 40... but i act 24... and i feel 50... guess that explains the tore up back and knee, huh???
  2. hockey rocks!!! i play in an adult rec league and enjoy the sport. i will miss watching, but like all professional sports, those whinny brat pro players are getting paid WAY TOO MUCH to play a stinking game. watch for other pro sport owners to lock out... average joe can't even afford to go see pro sporting event because of high salaries and such. yes owners have created the problem, but time for an adjustment... peace out p.s. older players that were relying on the last few seasons of play to get "retiring money" are kinda screwed.
  3. hope it snows, and am stocking up on moosehead... :haha: buy the way, the story must be true... no one would post a false statement on the internet, would they???
  4. thanks for the reply swimmer, don't really have any tech questions as of yet, pretty satisified with my net surffing experience, been on cable about 2 months and sattelite before that for a short time, before that i was on ao-hell dial up, so needless to say, i am smoking compared to what i was surfing at... down loads are between 5000 and 5500 up is in the mid 600 usually.... thanks for making all feel welcome and cheers to all!!! 5. just wanted to test the little picture thingy at the left... hopefully, if it works, it's my little boy... HE ROCKS!!! if it doesn't work, i guess i just look like a dork. not a puter nerd, though i wish i was in this day and age. i do enjoy looking at all the people offering help on this forum and think it's pretty cool that those of you who are in the know are willing to help out those of us who arn't. i use the term "puter nerd" jealously... no offense intended!!! like i say, "wish i was one" the old dog thing, don't ya know peace out..... 8. vern, sorry to hear of your poor experience with starband. i posted earlier this week of my experience with starband and their customer no-service department. i signed with starband in october '04 and got a lightning strike that fried my modem and transmitter, their response to my situation showed me just how valuable i, as a new customer, was to them. they offered to SELL me a rebuilt modem 484 ($350.00) and a rebuilt trans ($200.00) and return damaged equipment. i politely asked for a little assistance with the cost, since i've only used their service for less than 3 months. thier response was basically "tough shit, write us a check". i now have the almost same fancy little ornaments sitting on my desk, only my lights don't work. i now subscribe to cox cable and their service and speed is uncomparable. they actually act as though i am important to their company. again sorry to hear of you misfortune with starband, spread the word, i am!!! 9. i had, still have starband service. had probs with hardware and their customer no-service department pretty much told me to pound sand . i am now on cox.net and am getting awsome speeds (4948 down has been my personal record). usually i don't slam companies, but when they had no intention of helping me with lightning damaged equipment, i told them i will gladly give them their 500.00 worth of free advertising, and this is just some of it... if you have access to cox... this seems to rock for me!!! again, i in no way endorse or recomend starband as a provider... but also, i have some slightly damaged equipment for sale, or i might just run over it with the tractor??? thinking the tractor this will make me feel better!!!
