  1. It does some of it, such as the time, duration, listeners and IP, however I (personally) must keep all other information current. Our server records it as well, and my husband merely submit it to the agencies involved, but I use a DJ program for me, my husband, and one other DJ (the program does a few extra things for us to give us more protections), the other DJ's (who DJ remotely) use a custom built program that my husband coded and does all this for us, and they must store their music on our server, and we verify it to be legal. Remember, at the end of the day, any law broken is punishable on me and my husband by law if prosecuted. That could ruin us financially, so we insure that we are clean. AND our DJ's have an extensive interview/training process for both understanding how to DJ, the legalities of it, and to insure they care enough to help out troubled kids / people so that we don't get a black name. We had issues a while back that caused us to split with 5 dj's. It took a lot of work to get back where we are now, but the work is worth it.
  2. Oh, I almost forgot all the reporting requirements heeeeeere we go! For every song that is played on your station, you're required to report the artist who played the song, the song title, the album the song came from, the year of the song's publication, the label that published the song, the UPC code off the CD (no I'm not S#!tting you , you can look it up), the exact time the track was played, the duration of the song, the number of listeners that heard the track and a unique identifer of each listener (usually in the form of an IP address). We having fun yet?
  3. For everyone that would like to know here are the rules for legal broadcasting: 1. If you have a shoutcast server, and you broadcast a stream for anyone, you MUST have a 100% legal music collection (you must be able to prove this). You may NOT download music off non approved sales sites, or non-artists sites. 2. Be legally licensed through: ASCAP, BMI, SESAC as well as soundexchange (which is a branch of the RIAA). That covers the rights to publicly preform the notes and lyrics as well as to redistribute the audio recording of those said notes and lyrics. (cost is ~bare minimum~ 3K per year - that broadcast would be roughly up until you had 40 listeners at one time 24/7). When you get more, you pay more (per song, per listener, per instance). If you make money off the site, you must pay more fees for the music industry and for tax purposes. 3. This entitles paying for EACH song that you play per listener/ per song / per instance of play. 4. No more than three songs by the same artist in a row, no more than 4 songs by the same artist in a four hour period. 5. You cannot do more than two songs in a row from the same album and no more than three in a three hour period. 6. Your station must not be interactive (the DMCA defines interactive as providing information ahead of time about when a song or artist will be played or by playing a requested song within 60 minutes of the request "jukebox on demand"). 7. Your stream may only be launched through the site it is licensed for. You cannot get listeners off public station lists unless they go to your site first. (the shoutcast directory is one example which violates this rule if you are listed). There is a ton more information that I would be happy to reference anyone to that is seriously interested in setting up a station that is legal for test my net. I personally don't read through the buckets of rules on i-net broadcasting, my husband does, and he tells me the rules that the rest of us must play by. My station is 100% legal, down to the last asterisk in the online definitions and agreement. But I can witness to it not being quite as easy as it seems. You know how to get me, if you have questions. Oh and an FM station doesn't have nearly the same rules btw.

  6. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/S/SWITZERLAND_NESTLE_JENNY_CRAIG?SITE=VABRM&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT Chocolate Maker Nestle to Buy Jenny Craig By SAM CAGE Associated Press Writer GENEVA, Switzerland (AP) -- In a move that recognizes the modern world's twin obsessions - indulgence and guilt - chocolate maker Nestle said Monday it would purchase weight loss product maker Jenny Craig Inc. for $600 million. The acquisition follows Nestle S.A.'s purchase for around $670 million last month of Uncle Tobys, an Australian maker of nutritional cereals and snacks, and is part of the company's "continuing commitment to nutrition, health and wellness," the Swiss company said in a statement. While best known for its namesake chocolates, the Vevey-based also makes baby formulas, nutrition foods such as PowerBar, drinks to aid weight loss and the Lean Cuisine line. The company's purchase of Jenny Craig follows the lead of consumer products company Unilever, which bought both Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Slim Fast in 2000. Weight management will become a new business within Nestle's nutrition unit and will reinforce its U.S. presence, the company said. "With this strategic acquisition, the group takes another important step in its transformation process into a nutrition, health and wellness company," said Nestle Chairman and Chief Executive Peter Brabeck-Letmathe. "The rise of obesity and the resulting metabolic disorders, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, is a major public health concern, not only in the USA but also the world over," Brabeck-Letmathe said. Jenny Craig, which has more than 3,000 employees and more than 600 centers in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand, generated sales of more than $400 million in the past 12 months and achieved double-digit internal growth. Patrik Schwendimann, analyst for Zuercher Kantonalbank, said the purchase will likely further boost the prospects of Nestle's nutrition division. Zuercher Kantonalbank and Helvea both said the purchase comes at an affordable price of 1.5 times sales. Nestle is buying Jenny Craig from two private equity groups, ACI Capital and MidOcean Partners. The current management team of Jenny Craig, which is based in Carlsbad, Calif., will continue to run the business and report directly to Nestle. "We are excited to be partnering with Nestle Nutrition and believe Jenny Craig will fit nicely into, and in fact complement, their portfolio of branded nutritional products and services," said Patti Larchet, CEO of Jenny Craig. "We also believe being a strategic pillar within the Nestle organization will provide us with technical, scientific and nutritional resources to further develop our program and continue to enhance our client experience and results." The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter, the private equity firms said in a statement. Nestle shares closed 0.7 percent higher on the Zurich exchange, at 371.25 Swiss francs ($301.59). So NOW I can eat chocolate all day long and honestly say that "I'm dieting!" :haha: :haha: weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
  7. *hugs .s1* You got plenty of daddies here to stick by you and stand behind you. Being a dad isn't your right via procreation, it's your right via being a parental figure to others
  8. dayum..... *shuts up now*
  9. Happy fathers day squirt! *hugs .s1 tight* now be a good boy!
  10. I have to admit I'm a little offended by that comment. I'm not a hippie, I don't have a stash, and I don't want my house invaded by a bunch of policeman based on faulty information. I'm going to point back to cholla's comments because they are valid.... why is it the little "guy" who will be persecuted by this and not those in government who MAKE the decisions?
  11. I am So with you on this one cholla, bring it on John! We need to take charge of our future, the basic rights we are afforded are potentially in jeopardy. No - I don't believe every cop is bad, but it only takes one to kill an inncent person... and I don't believe appointed officials should be allowed to make a law, it's consequence by proxy at best, as they have to be nominated, confirmed etc... by other branches of government.... I'm really uncomfortable with the way this country is headed... we've become "knee-jerk" in our so-called "proactivity" and no good can come from that.... history shows this to be true....
  12. LOL, Happy fathers day doll, I hope you get a great big smile and a lot of love.....
  13. I'm a little early, and resurrecting this thread, but I have to say it now, so if any of them get online: Happy Father's Day to my ex (who is a fabulous dad) AGGR3. To Tommie Gorman, who as I see it, lives for his kids, to CA3LE, who is prolly the HOTTEST dad on earth, and to Shug, who's love for his wife and children is obvious and wonderful... and to everyone else that IS a dad but I don't know it, you have a tough job, and yet you don't quit, I applaud you and commend you and I'm happy to be a part of this widespread community! *HUGS TO ALL THE DADS ON TESTMY*
  14. beat me ... tease me, ... honey just please me?
  15. well, you should leave my panties alone damnit - I TOLD you to not steal them!
  16. All I wanted to raise the topic on is that our basic rights (which this country is founded on) are being dismissed by a group of OLD people (who never once in their lives went to a rave) and that are NOT in tune with the way the world is working now; who are taking advantage of their exalted positions to try to CHAIN us with their beliefs and dismiss our fears. You CAN corrupt out of ignorance! Is this really what we want? Or do we want the responsibility of raising our children to understand right and wrong and honor and integrity and what that really means? If you want a police state - there are quite a few overseas... and they need more kids to fight their wars to be honest shugar, you don't seem like that kind of person to me.... we need to be really honest about where we are going, or we will become that which we have fought against for so long. (And my ex and I were both at the point of fighting for it). To me it matters.... and now I really do have to go - 13 hour days not only suck, they blow, and that ain't easy!
  17. I don't want your balls, I want the topic debated, I think it's important and shouldn't be dismissed by sarcasm (I'll get your balls later) HI Mrs. Shugar!
  18. I dont have any bruises, and I can walk just fine
