  1. ATI is the shiznit man~~ ya gotta get a 9800 pro -- I can run ANYTHING at 1280X1024 32 bit triple buffer, 6 sample antialiasing without even one bit of framerate drop... best card I have ever seen in real life ~~ That MadOnion 2001 is kinda out dated, I don't think I hardly ever drop under 150 fps ~ average about 200 fps and have seen a max of 350 fps that held for over 15 seconds on the dragon scene -- I did have one spike I saw of 780 fps but it was only for like 2 seconds... The newer version of Madonion is a better benchmark by todays standards, but it won't give you the cool sounding score of 10 million

  11. The ends justify the means ~~ I had problems myself... my cpu was running cool at 105*F (40*C) idle --- but my system temp was running way hot at 124*F (50*C) - I got a new one, but I had to pick it up at another store which was 40 miles away because the other store was out of stock. Got it back and put 'er all back together and the system temp was running at 105*F (40*C) -- pretty good ~ but I still put another fan inside the case pointing at the board and now the system temp is down to 98*F (37*C) -- CPU is idle at 104* now also --- now I am happy with my temps ~~ time to overclock and screw it all up
  12. That is pretty pimp man ~~~ looks quite a bit like the new comp I built ceptI have UV lights and reactive round cables--- Damn it, I should have got the athlon 64 :-/ -- oh well I still got 15000 on Mad Onion 2001SE
  13. Western Digital --- hehe so now I have 160GB + 120GB --- and what's funny is in my old case I found a 60GB Western Digital... I forgot about it and had it disconnected ~~ so I'm going to throw that in my XBOX
  14. Well I just went ahead and built a new box today. AMD Athlon XP Barton 3000+ - DFI Lan Party board new 160 GB SATA HD --- few more things --- I will get pic for ya fools
  15. ah yes numion, that is pretty similar... but theirs request multiple pages at once. Grrrr, I fried my main computer last night... I got up this morning and it was like "no man... I don't think so" ~~ I'm not even going to troubleshoot it I am just going to go get a new case/motherboard/CPU today -- I've been wanting to for a while anyway... ehhh, I got a very good life out of that mobo/cpu/case ~~ got it all in early 2002 I think, and the shit is still faster to the day than most of my friends
  16. Maximum connections should not matter because only one page is being requested at once... I am may make a test that requests all the pagesat once I haven't decided yet. The most important thing that come into consideration is connection speed in conjunction with CPU speed and overall computer & browser health. Those are all factors on the regular download test but not nearly as much as with this test. This basically will tell you how fast you can surf the internet (not just download a file off the internet) and I don't think anyone has made a test like it... please correct me if I'm wrong.
  17. ehhh... I couldn't wait.. I added the star rating to the cut n paste :::.. Page Load Stats ..::: Subjective Rating:: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars Load Speed:: 1782 Kbps or 217 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Bottom Line:: loaded 10 100KB pages in 4.437 seconds Still thinking if I should do that to the other tests... feedback guys?
  18. The thing is that I really don't know how to scale this test... it's completely new and that's why it's in beta stage. Here is what I get :::.. Page Load Stats ..::: Load Speed:: 1063 Kbps or 130 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Bottom Line:: loaded 10 50KB pages in 3.719 seconds :::.. Page Load Stats ..::: Load Speed:: 1782 Kbps or 217 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Bottom Line:: loaded 10 100KB pages in 4.437 seconds All the pages load at the same speed for me, I think I got the star rating about right... and the rating adjusts different for each test size, so your star rating should be about the same reguardless of what test you use --- for both of the tests I posted... I got 4 1/2 stars -- I think tomorrow I will add in the cut n paste the star rating Everyone please give your feedback on this new tool....
  19. well... look at the finished product http://bit-tech.net/article/135/ --- maaaaaan
