First of all....... it is the dial up Second... get cable... For real though, if you play online games, even games like starcraft and warcraft which really don't take up too much bandwidth... you are going to have problems with dial-up. The latency on a dial up connection just sucks. those evil bastards... I have to deal with them here in AZ, they are actually USUALLY pretty good about hitting 'advertised' speeds ~~ but every now and then they will sell someone who is actually out of their loop and too far from the ped ~~ twisted pair does not like to play that game, it is a very touchy system..... that's why the cable system RULES! stupid QWORST

actually unless you have specifically stated in your contract there is no real advertising speed... usually there is only a REAL guarantee on speed if you have a high business class DSL or T1+ provider. If you are paying 600+ per month for you line you are being taken for a ride...
