BAH, 165 Mbit ~~ wouldn't that be friggen sweet... 21Megabytes/SEC! BAH HA HA ~~ I would probably have a heart attack... too bad we are looking at MANY more years before that is realistically in peoples homes

I found the server that was in error. Try again. I have also updated the script so that if this happens in the future, you just click re-test and the test script will offer up another testing link... from another server. Thank you Phatsam and keep testing... If you still have a problem, then there is a possiblity that whatever browser you are using is caching the test page... VERY highly unlikely since the way I wrote the script spoofs browser cacheing. But i guess if you had a wierd ass "make your browsing faster" crap add on that MIGHT happen... if that is the case DUMP that program, those are SO lame for broadband (bad ass for dial-up though) if you have a fast connection why would you want to cache everything and risk the chance of viewing old outdated pages??? But I seriously doubt this scenario. -~~ Late Phatsam! - CA3LE6UY!

The reason you are getting that is because the test server you are pulling from was offline... what you need to do if that happens is close the test window and reopen a new one... this should make you pull from another server. It is highly unlikely that you got a score over 5 megabit (my cut off) if you did more power to you... but I can tell without even pulling those auth codes that your scores were not even close in comparison to each other. And the auth code is not something that is saved... it is a mathematical equasion that is generated from the test score .. like say you got 2563 kbps (2563 / 50 - 28 * 65 / 23 + 5 / 15 * 155) just an example ~~ so those codes shouyld work.. but you need to put the "said score" in when checking. Try to re-test buddy ~~ it's a server side error, but that is why I have more than one test server - Damon
  4. This test is almost completely NEW! As you could tell... What do you think of the new test... Seem to work good? Look good... all good??? Besides the poll... go ahead and post and tell me what it needs ... or what you like about it... - Damon
  5. Your connection is: 2570 kbps (about 3 Mbit) You downloaded at: 314 KB/sec Auth Code: 2038551
  6. I don't know what to tell you man.. it sounds like this is a problem you yourself can't solve... you need your cable provider to get off their asses and fix whatever is wrong with their network. What it sounds like to me is that your cable company is being lazy... prob playing your game.. taking up your bandwidth... so you can't play ~~ "counter terrorists WIN" -- "yes, mi lord" haha, I would switch providers if possible.. This is most likely the only time I will say this... since I work for a cable company and all ~~ you might want to get DSL... OUCH I SAID IT... oooohhhh... Good luck man! - Damon

    speed optimizers

Hey, if you have broadband.. don't mess with that crap. I actually could make you go slower. You are at a megabit... if that's what your provider gives you.. be happy at that.. 1Mbit is nice indeed
  8. Very nice Grasshopper ... the student becomes the teacher Mike... not bad at all...
  9. 2655 Kbps 324 KB/sec Aprox 3 MegaBit About 3 seconds to download 1MB file Auth code is: 2039826 Validate at www.testmy.net to see if this is a fake just post like that.. is cut and past so hard to do??
  10. Those are both fakes... maggs, none of my auth codes ever start with 612*** -- 275Mbit is also a bit retarded to post anyway.
  11. A lot of the time your problem is with your providers DNS, I recomend using a program called EXTRA DNS, I have had great sucess with this and have had ZERO down time since I started running my own DNS server. - Damon
  12. I set mine to 5MB ~~ if your internet is fast enough ~~ ya don't need a temp --- but otherwise with broadband that is under 1 Mbit I would set it over 5 ~~ 80 is dumb though (why waste your resources ~ when you can grab it off then net nearly as quick as off the computer) Just set it to 5 and don't worry about that shit -- there is a lot more important stuff you can do to speed your internet up ~~ later and keep visiting

    What's up?

It was pretty much a bitch to rewrite all that shit ~~ but it's coming back together now... I just need to write the damn connection logging scripts ~~ the logging part is easy ~~ but the databaseing and searching stuff is a bitch! ~~ BUT, I'm having a good time redoing the site ~ RE-POST I just noticed... I didn't really answer your question NERO... Yes, I actually wrote everything... and it took a friggen long time ~~ I had ONE part of the script (and it was from an early version of the script so it still was re-written)... but there are like 10 pretty big perl scripts that make the download test work... partially java too ~ hell I am still writing ~ my friggen previous host!!!! How can they just shut me down... no warning, and delete all my scripts ~~ just because I got too much traffic!

    What's up?

Soon as I get up off my ass I will get everything back up in order ~~ there is a lot of script to write though... what are the friggen odds that my host would kill me AND my HD that had my backup would die... I wish I had those odds in my favor with the lotto! LATER!
