Yea thats why it would be pretty smart to build a custom pc around a core 2 duo than a AMD processor. I just finished up a core 2 build of my own. E6600 overclocked with 2gb of corsair, asus deluxe motherboard, and x1900 video card. I decided to go with a cheaper video card and wait for the new DirectX 10 ones. Good Luck

Just look for the red bars for the 2 processors we are looking at here Just my 2 cents

Any particular reason why you want an AMD build up? If it were me i would go with one of the new intel core 2 duo processors. They blow any AMD processor out of the water. Also what is your budget?

Well no upgrade for me. Gave them a call and there are no scheduled upgrades for anyone but the syracuse division. This sucks

I'd like to have it too. Adelphia only has a mere 384kbps upload. I hope they switch it over soon.

Well TWC claims that it can take as long as a year to get everything switched over and working so i'll just have to be patient.

Well i dont even know what section of TWC i will be under. They havent switched over the networks from adelphia yet but on that TWCUsoonwebsite or what ever it is they have me listed under the the Western New York section So i guess i'll have to wait and see.

I hope it comes to western New York sometime in the near future. Or Fios would be nice

Well i dont have road runner yet, i'm still waitin for them to switch my adelphia over but hopefully i will see the upgrade when it gets here in Buffalo, NY

i personally dont care that much when the switch takes place as long as they dont mess with my internet. As long as it works i'm happy. And besides having my e-mail address changed not much is going to be different. They said my download speed would increase from 4000kbps to 7000kbps but my upload still stays at a mere 384kbps. Wish they would change that.

Recently I just removed my mcafee internet security program and decided to run a quick speed test to see if there was a difference. To my suprise my download jumped 1000kbps. From around 3000-3400 all the way to 4300-4400. What a difference. And I'm only on the 4000/384 package with a few cablenut and tcp tweaks. :::.. Accoring to the TWC tech guys they told me up to a year for the switch over from adelphia to timewarner to take place. This is in Western New York though.

I thought that the whole visual set up was really cool. It gave me decent speeds even through i'm on my wireless laptop which usually gets around 1000kbps less than my desktop computer. Great find

Upload is nice for online gaming. Thats about the only thing i use it for besides upload some pics to the web.

Yea, i talked to an adelphia tech guy and he said they are still switching over networks as of now so technically i dont have road runner service right now. He said they will notify people when the chage has been made but he dosent know when

ok the site dosent work, i type in my zip code and it says the page has been removed. However i believe i was on that site before, it just tells you all the features of their cable service and internet. It does not tell you how or if you have to register a new name or e-amil with them. How do i gain access to all of their services. If i try and log into road runner with my adelphia name and it male it says access denied. edit: Ok i just went back on that site and tried a different zip code(california) and it work, but if i type in a zip near myself(Westernt New york) it says the page can not be displayed, the page you are trying to access has been removed

well i was just chatting with one of road runners tech help guys, i was wondering if i had to do anything to properly switch over my adelphia internet to road runner. I got quite a kick out of this. He had no knowlege of a merger between adelphia and timewarner. So i had to spend the next 10 min fulling him in. Then he said that the only way to get a road runner account and e-amil and etc.... was to call the local office and probably spen an hour on the phone with them trying to sort this out. I thought this change was all suppose to happen automatically????

I live near buffalo and was just switched to the time warner service. I was wondering what is going on with the e-mail address and road runner home page. Has the internet switch from adelhpia to tome warner occured yet. Do you have to like register with them to get a new e-mail and have acess to their other services. I ran a speed test and it still says my host is adelphia. I just went to time warners site and checked for availibility in my are and this is what i got "There are no Road Runner Service Providers in your area. The service provider in your area is Adelphia"

I did do the cablenut tweak which is what got me over my cap for download speeds but my upload has been like that since the day they installed it. And yes i have tried the adelphia speed test. Download speed is usually closer to 4000kbps-4200kbps but i can live with that. Upload is almost always the same no matter what i use to test my conection. I wish adelphia would come and install the adelphia extreme where i live. 16Mbps down and 2Mbps up, for $60. Thats what i pay now for the service i have. I have to pay a little than normal more because its a business account i use for work.
