if you are on verizon's 768k/128k plan, then those speeds are good.... i use to get 86 kb/sec on that plan, and you get 84.... so if you are on their lowest leve of service, then those speeds are not bad.

internet speed test part was also pretty acurate for me, it say's i'm at 4519Kbps Dl and 530Kbps ul and im on a 5Meg/512Kb package, so it seems acurate

it says my ul is 530kb even though im suposedly capped at 512k

the package he is on is 768Kb/128Kb, so he is right at his advertized speeds. only way to get more speed is to upgrade connection.... i use to be on that package my verizon before i left them and got charter cable ( i would have got FIOS but its not offered in my area.)

very normal.... at my school the upload is way faster than the dl, we get about 5000K dl and about 7000-8000K upload so the upload is always gonna be faster on those types of buisness connections.

yup, they are within 100-200 Kbps of each other every time.

yup, i can tell the diff in my speed when downloading, and online games are working better for me now, not that they wernt good before. but they are even better now, and im only on a 5Meg package, i hope to be on a 10+ Meg package soon.

hey organ..... do you have any idea how i could tweak my 5M/512K connection by charter to go over my advertized speeds, because i dont think the line is capped... it is able to supoort up to 10M/1M so i was wondering if i could get speeds clsoer to that without having to pay extra for it...
